Not that I like piratebay

But: They took servers from a site that is not illegal in sweden.
They also took servers from sites that had nothing to do with TPB (like CS servers)

This is a scandal and I hope someone will pay

If Brein finds some way to make this site "illegal" or the owners of the site are doing illegal business then Brein will have to discuss this with the officer of justice in holland. When that guy signs the paper. Then normally they will be sended to my fax machine and I will have to co-operate. When I refuse, then I can go to court.

For now there is nothing illegal on what we provide for our customer and what our customer is doing on our servers (TPB).

It happened before with torrentbits and I think finreactor, they were hosted by us and the owner of finreactor was cought selling dvd's and such from his home (copies). We received a fax from the officer of justice asking us for all our records on that customer, like money transfers, and for the data on the server. We gave them a copy of the server's data on a DVD. We have not heard from them again yet. This about a year ago...

I have to agree there, it is not that we would do everything to keep this customer up and running. I mean, the moment we receive such a fax that really states that it is illegal to provide hosting for them... We will co-operate ofcourse.

But the fact that they take more than the servers of TPB is outrages. For example, our datafloor is 15 racks x 30 racks x maximum 40 servers. There are about 10 of those floors atleast in each respected datacenter. That would mean if they want to raid that specific datacenter and take all with them. They would atleast take down (15*30*+-30)*10= 135.000 servers.

They should go to the provider, ask them to point out the servers and sign a paper saying that that was all the customer had hosted with him.

At first i couldn't believe that they really took a bunch of other servers as well. This is a scandal, i'm not talking about PirateBay, i have never heard of the site before nor do i care, but on what basis or justification did they take down the whole datacanter? And not only that, the police issued a statement that they first have to investigate if PirateBay violated a law. Untill now i thought that the police is doing that before they take any actions, guess things are different if you interfer with the business and interests of international companies who are used to double digit increases of their profits each year.

Erm what does this mean that im loaded with cash? We invested 20k for servers, we pay thousands of euro's for bandwith. And we make a static 1k profit from them. Meaning, this would take use atleast 20months to start making profit after the investments.

We have alot of racks with leaseweb, and I do not have any cash, all the money we get is going into server investments, network upgrades etc..

Next to that we also get screwed over by alot of customers ordering and not paying, etc etc.. Basically we're growing but not making real profit, if we stop investing ppl would leave, if we invest we dont make real profit. It's an annoying circle Wink

Other than that, we have alot of servers, alot of bandwith and a nice amount of customers who are happy with our services. That in the end is what we did it for.

SÄPO... They're all retarded bitches that uses taxmoney to do nothing good at all. In the 70's and 80's they spied on "communists" all the day and got into some trouble for it. They can all fuck of.

The demonstrations and interest from regular people will hopefully keep this running for a long time and make it right in the end!

Also Piratpartiet are getting more and more members all the time now, it really exploded after the raid. I joinied them a while ago and the day after the raid there were 600 new members.. Very Happy

NFOrce strike hosting of Thepiratebay

The Roosendaalse hosting provider NFOrce have decided its hosting of the illegal bittorrentsite Thepiratebay put stopper. That decision has been taken after sommatie of BREIN it leaped about to strike in order to prevent a indictable offence and liability for damage complicity to.

"the lord taks of NFOrce has notified us that he has to ge?t of its customer PRQ that who before the end of today the Internet site thepiratebay.org and thepiratebay.com of the servers obtains" says time Kuik, director of foundation BREIN. That has meanwhile happened. The lord taks communicated our telephone that he relevant Ip-nummers to PRQ have worn out. PRQ are a Swedish venture which is confessed as an administrator of the illegal bittorrentsite Thepiratebay. It sees to that Leaseweb from schiphol-richly-realm-rich the role of NFOrce have taken over. We are therefore not yet ready.

Last week s worldly largest illegal bittorrentsite Thepiratebay lodging communicated that to BREIN in the Netherlands at the hosting provider had found NFOrce which for its part at Leaseweb lodging stands. This happened after the Swedish justice had confiscated the servers of the illegal site within the framework of criminal research.

The new hostingprovider of the Swedish torrenttracker The Pirate Bay has again thrown down the hatchet at, thus foundation communicates brein on its Internet site. The pirate site, which fled Sweden after the police force had confiscated the server park, found in the Netherlands lodging at the Roosendaalse hoster Nforce. These provider then by brein being summoned the hosting of the tracker strike, and to now proves to be there interview is given to. A spokesman of Nforce has if required communicated the copyright club that ' relevant Ip-nummers ' have been worn out to PRQ, the Swedish venture of which brein thinks that she manages The Pirate Bay. Or PRQ however more than only hostingdiensten to TPB have are provided provisionally the question. , Makes it took along damage which the company has incurred then the Swedish police force not only Tpb-servers but also the spullen of other Prq-klanten anyway improbable that these provider goedschiks to Brein-onderzoek will cooperate. In the meantime the fields of The Pirate Bay are still ordinary contactable, because new hoster have been again found. This time will love, according to brein, LeaseWeb the responsibility for in air the torrenttracker in itself has taken. ' we are therefore not yet ready ', thus spokesman times Kuik. A spokesman of LeaseWeb denies the involvement of the company however in all tone-toonaarden, already is possible he there to laugh: I knew that they sat at Nforce, but that is it also. That we have the hosting are taken over news for me, I do not get where our large friend Kuik that from has worked magic. Entirely positive it is not reported received: the association with the pirate site sometimes less good publicity is able produce, ' already it will, however, become receive news on Tweakers.net as a good.' Ip-adres where the site is at present contactable, are obviously managed hoster port80, what seems an alias be for PRQ - and that is indeed the original hoster van The Pirate Bay. If the torrentsite cannot be leaped about there still long to have been confessed, but it is clear that the team behind The Pirate Bay provisionally is still long not ready with the copyrightwaakhonden. Even reverse-dns-entry of the Internet site testify of the strijdvaardigheid of the administrators: ' hey.mpaa.and.apb.bite.my.shiny.metal.ass.thepiratebay.org '

In the meanwhile the Dutch anti-piracy organization “BREIN” successfully threatened TPB’s new provider “Nforce” to stop hosting the controversial torrent tracker. However, this seems to be irrelevant now, since The Piratebay returned to its base.
