I myself run up really quick and knife them, nothing quiet or sneaky about that.

Its your problem and you decide how to play it. If you want to get 100% in every mission you only to what the objective tells you and NO ONE should c you. You are like a ghost.

And if you want you can turn Splinter Cell into brain-dead FPS and just run and gun everything down.

So in conclusion: this game is meant to be played as stealth game.

I'm outta luck at least. I get a C++ Runtime Error when trying to run it.

This occurred on two different computers that I tried installing it on. I installed the game from my original cd, applied the patch and cracked the game. Shouldn't be any difference to getting the full reloaded-release, right?

I tried once but I don't have a proper CD key so I didn't get past the login screen >< But I haven't had any errors so far.

The game does work perfectly in COOP mode, been playing several hours now. So the nuke-message above is bullshit.

The Versus EXE is not protected at all. The cd-key is where the problem lies.

CD-key is not an issue using hamachi.

However lan co op not working is a big issue. 1.05 just doesn't work with lan co op? I don't think it's OS fix breaking it is it.

Versus works fine and Co op probably works fine online but that would be problem #1.

*and by co op online i mean by Ubi online, not hamachi lan.

I get an error too, but different. I'm scratching my head here because I have done everything correct. I uninstalled and retried just to make sure.

http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/2448/error8by.png <- MY ERROR

OS - XP Pro (fully up to date)
Latest Daemon Tools

Installed, Patched with correct EURO patch.
Copied over the original cracks, same error
Copied over the new FIX crack, same error

I also patched the image with ppf FIX and started from scratch. Same thing, I get that error no matter if I use original crack or the updated crack Fix.

Any ideas?

That should tell you some more. I have the latest DX and everything should be fine. This is the first problem I have had with ANY game in a long time.

An interesting occurance - when attempting to run it this last time to get new screen caps it actually LOADED once. I exited out and tried again but I could not reproduce it. I dont know why it loaded this one time out of 30 some odd tries. I have the latest Nvidia drivers for 6800GT.

-- PROBLEM SOLVED --

I've isolated the problem. After I looked around for some .exe error I found a Ubi FAQ/problem solution database. Apparently SC:CT does not like Windowblinds. Perhaps more accurately - certain visual styles. I could get it to run with certain windowblinds styles (and default XP style). Almost any skin with a lot of transparency (like Vista clones w/ Aero glass) would not allow SC:CT to load and run. Once you unload windowblinds or select a different skin it solved it. Im suprised this "issue" has lasted this long. I guess neither WB or SC team have attempted to fix it.

Anyway, for anyone having porblems thats what fixed my particular error.

maybe this is stupid and doesnt work for you either but i did have exactly the same error as most of you here. it won't run. i waited about a minute after d'clicking the exe just to get a forced error saying that the exe must be terminated.
what did i do? well i just opened up my explorer, deleted all renamed "backups" of the files (which otherwise would be overwritten by the rld crack files) and then took THE WHOLE FOLDERS (maps and system) WITH THE CRACK FILES and dropped them onto the install scct folder.
a message that there already exists a "maps" or "system" folder appears. ignore and just choose "yes for all files". then again start the exe. for ME it starts up showing the bitmap of scct!!
dunno what else i did but before it wasn't working for me either! maybe you all should give it a try.....good luck.

I am experiencing a weird problem here. I start a level (witch ever) it will start normal, no problems at all, all settings high and what have you. Suddenly the sound will slow down, like its dropping half an octave or something, sounds really freaky and weird. This is not only in game but the menu music will play slower as well. Anybody had this? could it be a codec or something like that?

That IS extremely wierd o.o I have never heard of a agme with an audio error like that, and as such, I have no idea how to go about fixing it. Try going into dxdiag and moving hardware acceleration for sound down a notch.

Yea something is for sure fluked here. After that happens and I leave the game I get a blue screen with a lot of warnings and crap saying that bad module blah blah blah... I hope this is not fatal Wink I will deinstall and do a fresh install. But I actually had this with the 1st crack come to think of it, not the blue screen but the sound slow down. Maybe time for a new fresh XP install.....FUCK!
Well well these things happen...when you put a lot of crap on Ur PC Wink
EDIT: Deinstalled some ol Codec pack and Installed a new one (maybe no matter but...) Deinstalled the game and reinstalled with the 1st! crack ( I had SP2 from the start) and it seems to run stable now...well at least for 10 min. Razz

Well I've tried it on my home LAN and i've also tried it with a friend online via hamachi. Both are same results. I was just wondering if anyone had it actually working. Damn it I bought this game for co op to find out that x64 sucks with starforce and now I can't play any co op.

It works for most part in coop. I have encountered one problem at the 'Panama' mission. When you are supposed to take the Vice President and the guard and use them both on the eyescanners, both clients are disconnected the second you see the 'Synch' option. Best workaround is of course just to hack the scanners Razz

What are you playing coop through? Hamachi? Lan? Or possibly ubi online?

Hmm no luck for me. Ubi forums says to have both comps on the exact same video settings. I did that and it got closer, actually loaded the map 3/4ths but then hangs for a very long time and tells me i got disconnected on both computers.

I got the game legaly, and I never got it to work via coop, and that versus thingy just suck bigtime...

The singleplayer made up for that dough, but it would be kinda nice playing in co-op.

It's kind of random if you get disconnected or not, either you are lucky or you are not. So far I have been able to play fine with little errors. But this has nothing to do with the crack.

Works perfectly on my comp on co-op...I'm playing with a friend. It's really nice although you need a while to get the hand of it.
For example I played and finished all Splinter Cell but my friend hasn't so we had to take a crash cource. Anyway god job Reloaded...a very nice game, if you like it and have the money for it,buy it Wink.
Many of the problems may depend on the type of network you are in.
