I grabbed this release, and the quality was incredible! x264 is a very good format, not long until it get's more popular.

yea but how 'easy' is it to get running smooth on your PC?
I downloaded a 5gb file one time and it was 4minutes long 
To say the least it was a bit choppy  .

i downloaded ONE hdtv movie a while back, the rock, and i found that every now and then the picture would pause for 1 frame... it wasn't my computer, i loaded the video into vdub and scanned through it and sure enough there were duplicate frames which made the movie look like it was getting stuck every now and then... as i said, it has nothing to do with my pc, and the film was not corrupted on the download...
should i start getting hd tv movies again, or is this a common occurance?

Can anyone take a screenshot of this in action? Also did it come in .avi format? 4.5gb for a DVD file isn't bad since I d/l 4gb dvd's neway and don't watch the extras. What's it like, since the 1280x is higher than my desktop screen res, and it's widescreen, how does it play out when 'shrunk' down to 1152 and 4:3. Does it just get smaller, and you get the usual black border marks?
How about subtitles? do they work the same or is there a change in the 23.976, that over the course of 2 hours might make a difference?

Nevermind abt the screenshot, I just leeched a film and it was quite impressive. it didn't use this codec though so was still 11gb, but it was quite good. If they can bring it down to 5gb I might start using them idk.

I dloaded both riddick on matrix reloaded, the quality roxxors its way better then dvd-r and the same size...

don't paste pictures of beckinsale in leather!
now i have a boner for the rest of the week again!
720p is fun and all, but the full res stuff is where it's at
some real detail
there's atleast one film that absolutely requires the detail.. "baraka"
it would be boring watching on regular tv res
too bad they haven't properly utilised the tech in porn yet
sure, there's a few, but the lighting always sucks and the image is blurry, which makes the whole deal kinda pointless
