I'ts TAGES protected, so you have to play the whole game to see if the crack is 100%.

okay, i finished the whole game within the 4 minutes. (i used some speeder) but i really didn't see shit and can't tell you if it crashed meanwhile. Laughing

Its nice to be back. portugese police sucks more then you can imagine. They jail you
just because they think or heared something but cant proof anything.

I checked the PCGAME release for 2 hours now.

Seems PCGAME did a very cool way of fixing TAGES 5.5. It cant be the securom exe as there is no sign of VM present.

The retail TAGES protected exe calls Protection at
004AE916h, 004BEA99h, 00593B98h and some other not so important places.
It has only 1 IDR_RCP image inside so its TAGES SDK but not a hardcore variant
of it like in Fahrenheit or some others.

Now to the PCGAME crack:

Everything representing TAGES is removed from the exe and fully rebuild. The .text section and the IAT are proper rebuild
in my eyes. They fixed some relocations i didnt saw in the exe but its probably because i cant proper debug the retail exe
myself without a DVD Smile. As the whole imagebase is rebuild and i could play the game about 1h now i would say its a good one.

Respekt to the cracker the crack looks real good and might give other groups a approach of how to crack TAGES if SDK is used.

But no respekt to the developers. They fucked up a whole idea from Desperados 1. Making it all 3D
isnt the way cool sequels should go.

I didnt had any illegal shit on my PC but they didnt care and hold me 9 days Sad.

They probably used the EXE of an ESD version protected by ActiveMark, which is much easier to fully rebuild and afaik doesn't contain any sophisticated meta code scheme (read 'VM') or in-game 'hidden' checks.

I thought that too but TRYMEDIA even if cracked always has parts named like
TMSAMOF or TMSAMOV inside. You cant kill them as if you do exe wont run anymore.
Mibi they made tages + secu = crack. No idea about how that would work tho but it
might be possible.

Possible. Safecast ist dsame as Safedisc just withiut the api crap Smile. But it doesnt
matter anyway. Game is cracked, Crack works here for some hours now and im
totaly disappointed from the game. Im glad that i didnt paid 37 euro for it on monday Sad.
I was thiniking to buy it cause i loved Desperados 1.

Had alot of hpes for it but im totaly disappointed.

yes thats correct, or at least if pc game didn't put the Tages protected executable in the iso to confuse us hehe but I very much doubt that.

i guess they just took the retail cd how it installs and placed a crack inside. and they took DVd probably cause dvd has more languages. dont think they wanted hiding something. in nfo they didnt say tages too. Smile)

If RELOADED or DEViANCE release a crackfix, it usually works... unlike PCGAME's. Rolling Eyes

Probably the best commandos-like game, the second was pretty much shit with horrible 3D implementation
