I have no doubt in my mind that Locke and Ecko are still alive. If they die I will be geniunely shocked but I have no doubts at the moment.

found this on other forum:

HOLD DOWN ALT and type in on your NUMPAD the numbers 4815162342 nad then let go of the ALT key! ... and you will end up with µ
µ means MU
....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mu_%28lost_continent%29 MU (Lost continent) wich relates to Atlantis and Lemuria
ALSO
"Mu-metal is a nickel-iron alloy (77% nickel, 15% iron, plus copper and molybdenum) that has a very high magnetic permeability. Mu metal requires special heat treatment — annealing in hydrogen atmosphere, which reportedly increases the magnetic permeability about 40 times. The annealing alters the material's crystal structure, aligning the grains and removing some impurities, especially carbon. Mechanical treatment may disrupt the material's grain alignment, leading to drop of permeability in the affected areas, which can...
My source ended there.
I think its quite interesting. Any thoughts?

Actually, her father is Charles Widmore, a co-owner of the Widmore corporation, which deals in construction and laboratory equipment. They are heavily invested in the Hanso foundation, and are periodically contracted by the same for construction projects and laboratory supplies.
It is therefore fair to assume that they are also involved with the Dharma initiative. It is possible they constructed the hatchs and supplied the equipment therein.
Maybe Penny knows about her fathers projects to a limited extent, and knows the island exists, just not where it is. Maybe she thinks Desmond is there?

That was Desmond's wife in the end, correct? Since it was already mentioned that shes rich she prolly hired a special crew for looking him up, but I'm not sure how it relates with the magnet stuff. :s Errrr too many damn mysteries.

her father (who is connected to dharma) prolly told her about the island and it's magnetic expirements and she somehow figured that desmond is on it (if he's her only interest there) so she hired those guy to monitor for electromagnetic anomalies.

We saw him back on the boat with Jin and Sun afterwards, so he is alive and well. I also believe John and Desmond are still alive, as electromagnetic charges has never killed anyone (directly). Who knows about Eko though, he looked pretty damaged.. and without a doctor he has a problem.

I thought the system that Desmond activated was a self destruct mechanism, so a small explosion would engulf the swan station, and the electromagnetic charge would dissipate (what everyone else witnessed). So it's possible they could be dead, although i think it's unlikely. The characters are too important.

Coming up on Season3:
-Penelope goes on a search and rescue for her love. Of course she forgets to bring with her a big rescue-party, so now she is Lost too.
-More hatches are found around the island as per Locke's map, more psychological riddles from the Dharma.
-Jack, Sawyer and Kate find out that "The Others" are not really good as they say, they are ev00000l (probably also that they are ex-Dharama employees).
-Michael and Walt travel around in circles like Desmond and return to mystery island.
-Eko dies from massive injuries since the doc has left town.
Yeah, my guess anyway

I'm still waiting for the Vincent episode, you know Walt's dog. The dog went missing in the jungle too, so i'm pretty sure they will air a flashback episode about the dog, one way to endlessly stretch the plot.

The coordinates Michael received are 90°C perpendicular on the magentic field, the only way to escape, no attraction back to the Island, thats what happened with Desmond, thats why he thought that everything was gone.....
If this theory is correct, what will happen now the island is visible |
nice theory, I didnt think of that one yet
but on the other hand its not pretty presumable! I mean lost is a goldshitter, relativly low budget production, high ratings. so they surely want to milk this thing until the ratings r low and they can dump it. (maybe up to season 5 or more...)
If the island would now be revealed it wouldnt take long until its discovered and the whole concept would be "lost"

This is so not true. Remember season one, ABC wanted to relocate the show from Hawaii to California to cut production costs, they were actually loosing money with it. And shows get more and more expensive the longer they run, because actors usually get a raise with each new season. The ratings are at an all time low now as well. Lost is only 14th on the most watched list, the show lost 20 percent of it's viewers at the end of season two. |
WTF are u talking about Do you really think the salaries for actors are that high in a TV series?!
Ever watched Battlestar Gallactica? That are pretty high costs 4 an TV series that runs only in the middleclass, lost plays manly on a Island, on beaches etc...its low budget, believe me!
well whatever, we will se in season 3...
