I just saw the e3 movie. And I just thought, how the hell to they control the units. I just seems like select alle units and move to point x, destroying everything on the way.

If they were going to release it for vista, they should have waited. But as we can see, their is gameplay or ready so it is going to be for XP and win 2000 possibly. Plus it isn't using direct X 10.

My thoughts exactly, looks like select everything on screen, point to location x and see how everything plays out, might be fun to play camplaign but not the multiplayer :/
I think Blizzard's RTS's are the most skill needed games when it comes to online, no RTS topped that so far.

I'm a big rts person and not the futuristic type but this looks great, and i'm sure it will play on VISTA i'm sure if billy wants to sell the new OS it had better play games created in 2005 and so on, but who knows with mikeysoft...

Hot stuff, lets hope this do TA credit even though it's only a spirit sequel, the map size looks crazy, like you are playing a country.

You cant compare them
Games like this = Hundreds of units.. even in the thousands
Blizzards = Dozens at most

Aye it's impossible to compare, but i'll say out of personal experience opinion, when I play in lan with my friends, if we play a blizzard rts or clone a mp game against eachother roughly is 1 hour or less, but if we play a TA game "With absolute annihilation mod" the battles can go on through the day, if theres any rts mp capable game where it's possible to device as complex strategies as it's possible in that game, i've not seen it .
In blizzard like games the strategy lies in how you decide to put your armies together.
In ta the strategy is not as much about units it's about strategy for instance you can say well I attack with this army here, but it's not really important, nor is this one over here, I just want my opponent to think it is, but this one over here coming in from sea thats the one that can plow through his defense and make it possible for my fourth army to walk right into his base.
But of course there will be people saying it's the same with blizzards games, but to me it just feels more like war when you have machines shooting and exploding left and right and not just 20 some units. Have you ever heard about a real war won with 20 units?

What i think Glottis is saying, and i have to agree with him, is that games these big are not well suited for online gaming, it just takes to long. Its hella fun with friends at a lan were you can fight and fight forever
But when you go online the fight is about winning mostly, and gaining skill ofc. Thats why blizzard games are so good. They fast paches, you get units quick and you can still go longer and get better units, and there is action pretty much all the time. Secondly they are quick to learn, but hard to master.
Bigger games tend to go slower, specially at the start. And when it comes to online play, that is just never going to win the bigger crowd.

Yeah, imagine you've been fighting a guy online for a few hours then he disconnects! Very annoying.
Good for LAN, not so good for online.
