There are lots of imaginative ways you can think of that would enable them to escape from there, but I don't want them to escape, make me believe it more if they didn't get away, the cops are right on them, they must be caught.

I was thinking the same thing kind of..."If" they get caught(what would be the only realistic thing in my eyes...) then they never can put them in the same prison again! or maybe in the same prison but completely isolated! and what is season 2 then? its another(lamer) Oz(prison drama) with less violence etc. or what? :/
But if they dont get caught, what is it then? the titel "Prison Break" would become totally improper, and I really cant imagine how this should work out! every character gets 5-10 mins. airtime and they show what they're doing(were they re hiding, in which country the went...)...??
PB is a great show but Im afraid of that season 2 will suck o_O

It doesn't prove anything, it only refers to what already has happened, it doesn't say whether they make their escape right then and there from those cops.

You are totally wrong. The line I quoted says directly- 'Season 1 is about the escape, season 2 will be about how they survive on the other side'.
If they get caught that would be the most illogical thing ever. Think about it.. All the prisoners will no doubt be put in different prisons, which totally ruins the storyline. The old guy told them about where he hid his money, and the pedophile overheard it. Totally a set up for when the 'gang' and him meet up again.
Now how they are gonna escape I have no idea, but there are many possibilities.Their dad maybe comes and saves em, or the police thought they got on the plane, etc..

The line you quoted says nothing at all, it came from the preview and it doesn't meant that the whole season 2 will be about them surviving on the outside.
Watch the last episode, untill the last scene they are on the outside are are trying to survive, how is that different from your quote?
To me if they don't get caught it would be most illogical thing ever, the entire season without a prison? The surrounding cops just lost them? Their dad comes with a chopper and pick them up, while there are several police choppers roaming the sky? The cops just think that they are already on the plane, yet running on the grass field towards them in the last scene ignoring the airstrip?
And the money of the old dead dude can come back in the storyline anytime, it's not an excuse to have them escape the cops right then and there.
