No I mean the orange horse army that is present in front of the human City when you first came out the tunnel (was it orange? it could have been another colour though).
Obviously don't go near the orange armies of those elephant magicians, because you are supposed to avoid them.

I'm at the third mission of the cultist campaign, the one where you need to fight the elves. It seems that no matter what I do, the elven main hero always has a much bigger and stronger army than me. Also, he seems to charge after me as soon as my main hero leaves the "hell" area of the map. How did you guys do it? I'm getting seriously frustrated here Razz

this was freaking hard map ... too hard. took 3 days from me to beat it.
i think u need to avoid those elven heros until u have army to beat them.
i managed to capture their city on north east ... (had the south allrdy) and got teleport town, summon creatures etc. then it turned littlepit easier to gather armys. i allso killed the elves in middle of map (witch is a quest)

few tip more.. when those elven heroes aproads u r cities .. make a hero there and start running. enemy heroes are pretty stupid sometimes and start follow him and wont capture town Smile

This is ridiculous..... have tried this map at least 10 times and 15 - 18 hours and getting raped every fuc... time Question

And I play on normal,, I wanna see the person who complete the map on hard or insane or whatever the hardest level are... but this game is not balanced right... Evil or Very Mad

Oh boy I wanna see what you say when you come to Inferno campaign mission 3 ^^ Half the official forum users got big trouble with that map. Myself I think I'll wait for the patch since I'm playing on Heroic and would surely lose horribly.

Tip for the Inferno campaign: Get the gating skills A.S.A.P!

you can learn spells from the magic guild in every town that has it. if the town haven't any, you can build them. they are 5 levels of a magic guild. the upper spells are the most powerfull, and you gonna need a hero cappable to learn them.

What in the blue hell are you talking about?

That was znork's post. He said that not me. Editing a Quote to make it look like I said that is very childish.

Actually, I quoted by mistake yours. So before you start talking about childish - calm down Smile

It was ofc Znork who said it and not you (only noticed too late that I had quoted what you quoted and not his actual post.)

u need gating skils for the start, grab needed mines as soon as possible to develop your town fast, then when army strong enough take 1. sylvian city, eventualy make your way around the map and just circle round grabbing army from sylvian towns, also leave some room for pixies and others to join, try to get into enemy town just before population, that way enemy army dont grow and u can gain much, kill druids in middle of the map and grab a few artifacts, theres a artifact merchant in lower right corner of the map, buy some artifacts since guilian is much more stronger than your hero, needed lot of time to finish this one, my army was like 90 azure dragons and theirs was like 65 azure dragons and it was a close combat, also keep in mind that u need to own the house where u can buy druids and archers to make your population grow even faster

Focus on getting all the resources in the map. Forget the artifacts, you don't need them and the battles will drain your army. be carefulll exploring the map, some monsters are placed as roadblocks and you should avoid them. Not losing troops is the key. take the two towns as fast as you can (the second is mid west) With the resources you can build the two elven towns. Give your highest level char the elven troops, cause the demons in this map are to weak (you dont't don't have a high level demon town). Two things are essential, First speed, try to get the two elven towns as quick as possible, there are 3 elven towns in total, and the enemy is harmless with one. The other thing is the main elven hero, he has high luck and somehow menages to do a lot of damage with little troops, don't underestimate him. Killing this hero though and you have won, the rest is easy. The other elven hero's are weak.

Does it worth it?

I mean, a Patch or DOX for HOMM V would be much better for those who have already the normal Edition Rolling Eyes

Well, on the torrents sites I visit (yeah, I'm not so uber-1337 like some of you, so frakkin what), that CE has 2.40GB, whereas the normal one has 2.39GB. So I doubt that there are any map or artbook scans in it.

[EDIT]: And how would they have put the whole Heroes 2 into those 0.01GB?! Would be some ultra-high compression, eh? Razz
