Yeah, Im a good/fun person to work with and as long as the work gets done, I dont care what my employee's do. But, if work gets behind because ppl are jerkin off...well, then I go nuts because I have to take the bullshit from my boss.

Very Happy Naw, sometimes I'd bring in the baileys. One christmas I bought my main guys (7 guys) a bottle each and we had 3 two-fours for lunch/afternoon. Just sat around drinking all day, fun times.

Its all about the balance between work and fun. You can have fun but only so much then it's gone, people move on. Having a few drinks on the job (depending what job) only works out with the slightest few. Other than that it attracted the friggen idots....so you have to be a pretty strong minded person to be able to tolerate that and control it . Controlling the talent is the main thing. In trades --people come and go like a round-about-door. Some are super smart some are not so much ...and some just disappear never to be heard from again.

The only guys I let do that or rather, the only guys I drank with were the ppl who did the work and always preformed well.

I work really hard and I expect the same from my staff. But I also play hard right. Smile

I don't eat breakfast and I get about 3 hours sleep a night. Sometimes I'll get 5 or something but my sleeping pattern is always fucked. Hence: why i'm on nforce at stupid o clock Razz.

I don't eat breakfast and I don't get tired / strained either. By staying on my PC I keep my mind active, but if I was sat down or watchin a film or whatever then i'd probably go bed at about 3 if i could force myself.

I woke up at about 8 today, and I didnt eat anything till 11. I got some prawn cocktail crisps and I had a full trifle Cool I eat lots of shit at irregular times but it doesn't bother me Smile

When i'm tired / exhausted. My friends all tell me I need sleeping tablets and shit but i'm used to it. I go to school after being awake for 24 hours (i did this on tuesday last week). I stayed awake for 44 hours. I went to sleep for 3 hours and I was fresh again.

They think i'm nocturnal and stuff, but i'm awake at all hours Smile they say it's gnna catch up on me, but I rarely do sleep for 8 hours. I can't remember the last time I slept for so long. It's not from a lack of energy, or exercise because i'm as / more active than the average person really. I've just got used to it for the past 4 years. I've had irregular sleeping patterns and i'm not an insomniac because I can get really really tired and if I lie in my bed then I can go sleep, but I can also keep myself awake (i.e. do somethin on the PC) for as long as I try.

When I do the 'wake up go college, come home go out come home stay awake, go college etc' days then I sometimes can go into a sleepy eyed mode, but after a while I freshen up again. Usually because I go to the pub and get a few beers down me tho Cool

edit: i've just realised I kinda messed up the answer to your question. Say if I try to go to sleep at 10pm, I just can't. That's silly as fuck. but if I tried to go to sleep at 3am, by about half 4 i'll most probably be asleep. If I stay awake though until i'm gettin tired then i'll go to sleep within 30 minutes.

If I did try to go to sleep at 3 (when I wasn't tired) i'd probably watch a film and actually pay attention. I always go to sleep with a film / tv ep playin on my PC but i'll just listen to it sometimes and not actually watch it (u must know what I mean). by the time the film has finished it'll be half 4 and i'll probably be fresh again anyway so I don't do it. Also i'll probably get bored after 45minutes, that seems to be my attention span, and i'll just get up out of bed and go on my PC Smile

Well as long as you don't maintain these kind of sleeping habits (i'm just as bad) into adulthood you should be ok, because that kind of lifestyle is extremely unhealthy.

Why? The lifestyle isn't bad. I still see my m8s and do my stuff and whatever, I just sleep less and wake up earlier than most that's all. I sometimes have trouble wakin up for college though because it's such a drag and I only just settle down before I get woken up again.

Last year though I did get into a bad cycle of going college, coming home and sleeping. Waking up at 8pm and then doin my stuff. It's mostly durin those hours that I do my stuff / make my plans, so if I dont wake up til 8, then it's like a day and night wasted pretty much. Thankfully I only had that for a few weeks, and was always sorted by the weekend boozin / stayin up all night.

It is a form of insomnia. According to my doctor anyway. The body needs 7 or 8 hours of sleep at nite to function properly and stay healthy. Alas, i rarely get that much sleep Sad

It's not insomina though I just have lots of stored energy reserves or somethin which I can stay awak on. Idk, I don't get tired quickly or drained or whatever so Idk what it is. My mum is kinda the same but not as bad. and of course she does womanly things not drink beer and play footy. Sometimes tho she can sleep for a while.

Thats it Syco, if you don't sleep for a minimum of 6 hours a night (8 if you can) then your body doesn't have sufficient time to heal and repair from normal wear and tear, process carbohydrates, restore neurons and neural transmitters, restore and process hormones and consolidate memory aswell as many more obscure restorative functions.

Basically, not getting the minimum amount of sleep for an extended period means you are more succeptable to the effects of aging and all the problems that come with that. Aswell as being at an increased risk of heart disease, brain disorders and stress related illnesses. You will also have a depleted immune system.

As I said, your body can compensate to a degree because you're young. Just don't continue these habits into adult life.

But I get on fine and I dont have any immune system probs either.

Each body is different so to say 6 / 8 hours as a benchmark might not be the same for everyone else.

How old are you? 17 wasn't it?

It's like smoking too much or drinking to excess. It won't affect you while you're young, it's when you get older you'll feel the effects.

Doesn't every teenager say the same thing when told their habits are bad?

yea i'm 17 Razz

And well I got through year 10, 11, 12 and nearly year 13 so far with the same habit. It started in year 9 tho now that I think about it, but it wasn't as bad. And it's gettin gradually worse I think. When I was in Egypt though I did get a few hours sleep every night, but that's prolly coz we had a schedule and I walked 1000's of miles a day and the heat :/.

Why? :S It wasn't like red hot though. It was warm but there was no moisture in the air so it passed you by. By about 7 o clock at night it was pitch black too but the sun rose pretty early.

When I went to France one time I was sweatin like mad as soon as I got off the plane. It was mid-day heat tho. When we landed in Egypt it was about 5pm and was cooling down. That 12 hours or so probably warmed me up better I suppose, but france was really humid too.

I walked loadsa miles every day :/ Around the temples and towns and whatever, it was good Smile
