It must save them somewhere and it's easy to exit to desktop while ingame so my reasoning is that you could copy the ingame saves to stop it from deleting them. Then when you load the game up again you could paste them back into the folder (or where ever) and then load them up again ingame. |
Sounds like a good idea. Maybe someone can write a hotkey script so that you don't always have to alt-tab out of the game...

I for one don't always have 3 hours to play though a mission. Which is how long it could take if you're going for silent assassin on expert.
I have no idea why they decided to do this it's almost game breaking for me. I don't even think i'm going to play it much until this is fixed, hopefully in a patch or something. |
eeeew! that's an excuse to don't even download this game! i don't gonna play such a game. the company has forgotten the more "old" players wich haven't that time or patience to start a level again. the more oldie players are also, the money owners players, so.... as you say, worst decision ever.

FFS very clever the saves get lost when u quit the game ? wtf is this shit ? so everytime start the mission over and over agian... this must be a joke. really frustrating... And i was even gonna buy this game wtf eidos are u thinking.

The game itself is fantastic, it's just that the save system is horrible.
I was also going to buy it, and theres so much about the game I like. I have no idea why they suddenly decided to chage the save system in this way.

Are you shure you got the latest version there ? Its CureROM 2.0.1 Released
16 May 2006. I had the old version and it would not work. Just installed the new one and the game starts as it should, all settings in CureROM set to default. If someone already told you this and it still don't work...well, pray or something 
Game is just as it should be and better. Graphics set to highest (no FPS probs) cool missions and ofcourse the good ol Silverballers are there...just as they should be.
