It eludes me how people can compare this game to starcraft. RoL doesnt play as "smooth" as other recent titles. The animations are mediocre at most. The graphics...why are people saying the graphics is so fantastic? Yes, i have seen the screenshots and yes i played at max settings, but it didnt impress me at all. The clockwork man walks like he just has 2 animation frames. The jaguar unit looks like it doesnt "belong" on the ground and rather hovers above it. And so on. Units turn and walk not fluently, everything is slow paced like walking through mud. And thje colors...i dont have the feeling i play with 32 colors. All looks so dull compared to other games.

Eart 2160 had great graphics and effects as an above poster mentioned, even though the models all looked like "toys" all smooth and candylike. Plus the animation wasnt great.

Anyways, not talking about graphics anymore...the gameplay is not as smooth as Warcraft TFT or Starcraft. What i meant earlier was that Armies of Exigo (seriously, give it a try) is FAR more starcraft-like than this game. The units boast in detail, 3 different races, beautiful graphics, great campaign etc. And it plays like starcraft. Go flame me now.

i agree the animations are wank in rol, the animations say from standing to moving dont link up giving a stuttery effect.

Never played TA-Kingdoms? I really dont know why everyone hated that game. I loved it. But even my wife hated it. I still play it...secretly.

Internet play doesn't work for me, unauthorized CD-key. Funny thing is the install didn't ask me for a cd-key and I can't find it in the registry either. LAN worked and was fun!

ok i dloaded the unleashed cd 1 and used the cds 2 3 and 4 from the DEVIANCE version, cos when i installe the DEVIANCE version it doesnt ask for a cd key upon installation, so DEVIANCE have done soemthing there, the unleashed cd1 does ask for a cd key, and then u can play online.

"The Bad: Maybe too similar to Rise of Nations; campaign storyline isn't well presented and is hard to get into ; seems to be missing some battle sound effects Laughing ; a few predictable artificial intelligence issues with skirmish play."

He said that this game is more complex then 98% of all others i.e. That 2% is the small amount of RTS games which are more complex.

LOL, dumb shit.
