Ok, I'm going to give you a some backstory first so you can either feel my pain or laugh at my misfortune. (or just skip to spoiler)
Last week a few new people were hired at my job. One of them was a hot girl that a couple of guys I work with kept talking about. She worked up at the cash register or customer service and I really didn't get a good look at her till about Wednesday. She WAS hot too. Anyways, almost every guy around the sales floor kept going over there and talking to her and helping her out even though she didn't really need any. I found myself being called up there to assist with orders from the stockroom and every once and a while would get these looks from her. So of course I figured maybe she like me, but quickly dismissed it as just my imagination. I mean there's like 50 other guys around her all the time, why would she single me out right? One night I was helping clean up on the sales floor after the store closed and saw her come down to my aisle and ask me if I knew what to do with merchandise that was ripped open.
I was in the household section and she had brought me an item from down in the hardware section six aisles down from mine. I told her where she needs to go and what to do and she smiled and said "Thanks Mike." I never wear a name tag and never talked to her before that. It surprised me that she knew my name, but I didn't really read into it much. I also thought it was odd that she would walk all the way down to me to ask, when she could have asked at least two others that were in between my section and hers. To sum it up, it was these little things that were leading me to think that maybe she had a thing for me. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.
We're approaching the moment, just hang on... ;P
So Today I was working the morning shift and she came back into the stockroom to put away all these boxes of repacked merchandise. She's like "Heeey, Mike... looks like we're working together for a while...." And we start talking about stuff. She asks me all these questions like how long I've worked there and if I live nearby, what school I go to, etc. Then she slips in if I have a girlfriend or not. I told her no and I asked if she had a boyfriend and she said no too. We flirted a little more as we worked. When she passed me in one of aisles of the stockroom she would touch my arm or back. This happened multiple times. On my break I told one of my friends that usually works in the stockroom with me that I was working with that new girl and he was like "you lucky fuck". She was asking if I ever get lonely back here working by myself and I was like "a little" and she said "aww, you poor thing, I'll come back here and visit you..." Even when she was done with her repack boxes she stayed till the end of our shift, it was close anyways and we both got off at the same time (no pun intended), and talked with me.
Ok, you're probably thinking, "Good god we get it, you think she likes you. Get the fuck on with it..." So here it is.
 Spoiler: | I punch out and am walking out of the employee entrance and grab my coat. As soon as I walk out the back door I see this car facing the door with like four hot ass girls in it. Now, this throws me off guard for a split second and I think I stopped for a second too. But I recovered and started walking towards my car which was parked a ways behind where they were. I put my coat on, and I take another look at one of the girls in the car when the unthinkable happens... I must of walked out this door a thousand times and somehow at this exact fucking moment. I trip.
This isn't a simple trip and I stumble, oh no. This a trip-over-your-own-feet-fall-flat-on-your-face trip. Like something you would see in a movie. My foot stumbled,I don't know how and immediately my left leg gives way. I fall sideways to my left, arms flailing looking for something to stable me with, and I try to catch the ground, but since it rained my hand slips off the grass and I fall flat on my face into the wet muddy grass that was too the left of the small driveway I was walking down. I stand my sorry ass up and hear a voice laugh "oh my god!" even though their windows are shut. As I walk by the car I see all the girls laughing.
WOW. UNBELIEVABLE...
What are the odds huh? What's worse than that is as I get to my car and am about to get in it, I see Amy walk out of the employees exit and get into their car.
UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE...
I told some of my friends this today and they laughed their ass off. One of them (more seriously) was like "holy shit that is bad" and most agreed (jokingly) that I should quit and never go back. I keep thinking of what might of happened when she got in the car. "Oh my gawd Amy you just missed it! Some dumbass just fell face first into the ground!" I'm sure she would know it was me since she saw me walk out right before her.
You may not think it was that bad, "ooh you fell, it's not like your pants dropped." But if you were there you would have laughed your ass off, that is unless you were the one that tripped and planted your face in the mud. The way I fell, god what a pussy way to fall. |
Well I'll see her Tuesday, when she said she would work next, that is if she will ever talk to me again.

Thats really not a big deal, I wouldn't worry about it. Accidents happen.
The guys in the store might be trying to make out it's worse then it really is so that they can get a shot at this girl.

So what, she didn't see you fall, if she didn't see you fall it's not as funny as when she did see you fall, thus she wont be remembering it at all.
But if you still feel bad about it, make some smuck fall face down while you and her is near, this way both of you can laught at the same funny accident, it also gives you an excuse to start the conversation since you now share the same experience.
