You know what annoys me the most, that I actually bought it! I mean, it's only about £12, which isn't that much for me, but still. The next episode i'm going to aquire by other means...

You bought it? Did you also have this glitch where the AI script is broken and nothing happens anymore?

I never really encountered any bugs, apart from getting stuck on the side of a wall for a couple of seconds every now and then.

The game is ok, the shootouts are nice and I like the gore. But it gets boring incredibly fast - repetitive gameplay. The graphics are anno 2003 - I expected it to have at least a couple more of HL²'s nice graphic effects (hdr, bump mapping, sharper textures...) and not only a slightly less detailed version of the water reflections.
The physics engine is also totally under-used, its implementation in HL² was way better.
Too much potential given away, they should tune up the upcoming episodes or this "experiment" will go down the drain.

It´s not worth of buying/trying.

It's some sort of error message that appears when you hit the Submit button, so some people go back and submit again, not realizing that their message was posted after all. But then they're too damn stupid/lazy to use the big fat Delete button that is up there in the right corner... Rolling Eyes

is it me or this game is to fucking short.

They promised some kick ass shooter but this is just BS if you ask me. If you play this game on easiest level then you can finish the game in less than 3 hours.

um. you do know that this is just the first episode right? theres 8 more to go. did you want 50 hrs of play in each episode???

This shit should be $2.99, because this game isn't worth the $180 dollars they want to charge.

However, $27 dollars seems like a more reasonable fee.

It seems nowadays that people need innovation every time they want to play a game, what about the the old days where there were games such as kingpin, sin... they were quake 2 clones and they were nice, no one complained about it those days... they were all the same if we look it that way.
So... , OK, there is nothing new in SiN.Episode.1.Emergence but that doenst make it a bad game, come on... stop complaining, just play it. I mean, you should all think of it as a hafl life 2 skin, which is actually that, but its well developed, nice graphics, you could say its fun too... so don´t be so harsh about every game being released nowadays, its not easy to find originality in an FPS.

I thought it was a nice little shooter and looking forward to episode 2 though if we are going to wait a year on that then its all just a bit retarded.

Even half a year for each ep is insanely too long, that would mean 4 years until final ep. Confused

They plan to release a new episode every 6 to 8 months. Way too long if you ask me. This way it will take to 2010 for the series to complete. Semi-episodic games like the NFS and BF series have new installments every 12 months. For an episodic game, the time between episodes should be 2-3 months max.

Heh can you imagine how bad and outdated it'll look at the last episodes? Even now it looks only avarage. Well maybe if they'll use new GFX egine or something (which I doubt).

Still, it's an interesting experiment. They just need to cut down prices and tighten up the release schedule.

It can't be that bad. Haven't tried it yet, but I've pre-ordered it. It's not that expensive and I'm sure better episodes will be released in the future (if this one is really that bad of course).

Pretty good game. The first half reminded me of HL2, the second one reminded me more of the old SiN. They did recycle a lot of HL2 content but that doesnt really bother me much I wasnt too impressed by there only being 3 weapons, but i guess you have to wait till the next few episodes to get the more deadly stuff Wink BTW was I the only one who foudn the sintek tower level to be insanely freakin hard? :\ 8/10 tho, gg! Peace,

fear the led zeppelin that was!
