Ok, the question is probably so n00bish that it hurts, but I still want to know as I get a feeling I am missing something here
What are PAR2 files? And what is their purpose?
I see that they accompany rar-rxx files, but I see no relations to them nor does the un-rar-er apparently need them. At first I thought it might serve to repair broken rxx files but when they are broken, the PAR's dont seem to fix them.
Do I even need to acquire them in the first place?
