To the left of the computer.
The platforms will appear at the edge which you are facing as you come into the room.
I think the ladder is just so you can get back up if you fall down.

No bridge appears to the left of the computer i can see the bridge but its not even close to me i started the efr on the computer but it was something about a maintenance bridge to but now i cant do something with the computer anymore.

So i have to start over from the beginning of the level and choose maintenance bridge on the computer instead?

Ah you've saved after choosing the option.
There's just a platform that you have to jump onto then jump off to get to the other side then you can get onto that other bridge you were talking about.
Use the flashlight and look to the left of the computer and you'll see it.

Yup only problem is that sometimes they are blocking your way and it adds some lagg to the game.

UAC Sentry Robot Mod is the best, its as close to CO-OP as you can get.

Mmmm but some guys managed to run it with to players. I really wan't to try that. I think I spawned like 10 of those robots at the same time. It was like some a army of ants.

They are nothing like ants, not only that, they are very powerful and pretty smart.

Guys I know you won't believe this but I'm playing the game smoothly at 1280x1024 at high quality on my pos comp. Tweaks are great.

In the DoomConfig file in the base directory:
seta image_useCache "1"
seta image_CacheMegs "400"
seta image_CacheMink "2048"
Then I created a autoexec.cfg and used the Best Visual Compromise / FPS Compromise Config from http://ucguides.savagehelp.com/Doom3/FPSVisuals.htm
Oh and I have shadows off. But the rest of the advanced option are on.

Oh wow I'm spoiling Doom by not having the creatures have shadows. That's the only thing it turns off. Everything else has a shadow. It's not like it's not dark anymore. I notice basically no difference with it off.
