I've had that one as well. There's a "crack" on it, but I had to mount the CDs anyway with DT whenever the game asked for one. |
With a full install and the exe/dll to enable AA, you don't need the CDs (or a crack) at all.

m..its on my drive about a week and today i installed the fucking 6 cd's and when i am starting the game - after the opening and the game options i an only - getting big mess of pixels and colors and i have 6600GT and 3.2 ghz and 1024 ram and...latest video audio driver so.....what now?
anyone els had this shit?

well ..i have found the solution:
There appears to be a problem if you have an Nvidia 6600 GT video card, it's reported that drivers version 81.90 work ok with this game, the latest drivers cause the problem that you describe

and people complayed and guess what they did nothing not even a patch for this problem , and the suport for this game is NOT existant , oh boy todays companys

No it doesn't. You can see that it's on, but it opens up for some very annoying bugs (like at the beginning of the game, when you look out of the window... with AA on, it doesn't change to window-view... also graphics fails when interacting with objects randomly)

Awesome, just awesome game, ending left more questions than answers, but maybe its one more thing why this game is so awesome - mystery.
The only terrible and totally useless thing in the game was combat, WHY OH WHY did devs thought of this devil that is a healthbar.

Ah weird, it works perfectly for me with 6x temporal AA forced on in Catalysts and the replacement exe/dll. I thought nvidia was the easy one to get working.

shes the old lady (April Rayan) at the beginig(of part ONE ) telling her story - GET IT her story to her grand children - so i get this that DREAMFALL means that ZOE now is in a STORY telling dimention that will enable to make her stories true (anyway we see that FUNCOM was influanced by prince of persia :sand of time + farenheit  ) so i mean the old lady is telling her story to her grand children and this story is DREAMFALL how a young lady ZOE became the DREAMER that could save US from the UNDREAMING (the dream thingi that device that you know that the bad company made that every one could dream and every thing they dream will be real for them ) means that people will lost the abilitie to dream so that will be the story (i think) of part 3 , that will be relesed on the consoles in the near future (if they will make it) and VISTA
OK so what was OPEN ahm let me see :
1.what happend to the white dragon , we saw her greet some one she knows and then she screams
2.whats with April , we know she lives but how will she escape
3.what happend to that DUDE damn my memory the macho guy that you control from time to time yeah i know they sentenced him to trail but what role did he play
4. Why did that blone chick kill that bionic dude ?
5.whats with the tower
6.What role played that bread dude guy (damn looks like i can only remeber chicks names ) and why Chavez (the indian from part one ) helped this beard guy in the year 1933 in TYBET and said to him that he is important ?
7.Did Faith was really Zoes sister ?

The fighting really didn't bother me, you can skip every fight with Zoë other than the training one which you don't even have to win, and all but the initial fight with April. Kian was a bit of a let down since he really doesn't do much and he has several fights you can't skip. Unless I'm forgetting something, every other fight situation had an alternate solution which I used instead.

I'm sure it will work with Vista, but if they do start making the third part soon I suspect they will just do a minor engine update to move it from xbox to x360. I can't see them taking the time to go all the way to DX10 too. If the third part is more than 2 years away the whole 'upgrade to Vista' controversy will be a distant memory anyway.

| Spoiler: | 1. Since the other draic kin were apparently killed, it seems likely that she was as well. Most people assume it was Brian Westhouse who did it, and Crow was a witness since you can hear the flapping of wings at the end of the cutscene.
2. My guess is that she shifted after falling, and someone back in Stark helps her.
3. His name's Kian Alvane. Note the last name... it's not the role he played so far, it's the role he will play in the third game.
4. Because she could? He was weak, and she wanted full control of the company.
5. The tower was built as part of the conspiracy between Waticorp and the people you're fighting against in Arcadia (drawing a blank on their name at the moment). Not a lot of details yet, but they are clearly working together, probably to reunite the worlds again.
6. That's Brian Westhouse. He was likely the one who attacked (killed?) the White and beyond that his role was to release the Undreaming. Why Chavez (the Red) helped him is a mystery, especially since the cutscene at the end shows Westhouse in Tibet being saved by Chavez, but he's the old Westhouse, not the young one you control in the beginning. I've given up on figuring that part out for now.
7. I would think so. Given her father's line of work, it seems likely that Zoë was the result of some experiment just like Faith was, only instead of becoming a test subject she was raised as a normal daughter. Plus, there's something special about her in the way she dreams: she's immune to the machine, she can visit Arcadia while dreaming without actually shifting, and she had the connection with Faith.
8. Not sure, maybe something created by Waticorp similar to the cat at his apartment after the murder? Wati knows everything about him since they used the machine on him, and they specialize in building intelligent robots...

How can you call this a crappy adventure game? Maybe you're definition is messed up, but if you want puzzle-obsessed games then go play the Myst clones. This sure was one hell of an adventure.

Adventure genre is my favorite, I played almost every adventure game since Curse of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango. I can easilly call Dreamfall an adventure game, an awesome adventure game, and just because it has like 10 easy puzzles instead of 100 hard or even illogical ones doesn't mean it's not an adventure game. Combat was out of place thou.
