I ended up buying Hoi2 and Doomsday, it's worth it.
Anyway, after reading the manual I got to know a shitload of good stuff about combat and how to use them really efficiently. Cartoon, do not stack officers with that ammount of divisions. For example:
You got let's say 20 divisions in a province. There are no officer at all who can handle that ammount of divisions at the same time. Even if you got them rounded up in pair by 3 divsions per lt general (I do it this way) and attacking with all 20 divisions one poor lt general will be forced to control all the divisions and everything is getting fucked up. This also applies if you use 'support attack' from the same province. But while defending every commander is by himself and they won't stack.
I'm off to work in a moment but I'm gonna get you some more info about this as soon as I get back home.

Not sure about the limit but I've seen big games looking in the lobby containing about 10 people thereabouts.
well that's 3 people interested there and another who will be interested once he's got enough practice.

Of course, but it was just an example Although, Nat China are getting butt raped by Japan at the start of the game since they only start with militia. Spain are not that good but they are still fun to play as. The "best" nations to play as is Japan and Italy imho. When you're Germany you get all the press for some reason, and I've played with them too many times this far so it's getting kinda boring.
Btw, what about timezones etc? I mean, Cartoon is in NZ, right? I assume that most of you are from Europe though, but it would still be a hazzle to get all people together if we don't get into an irc-chan. Would be easier with contacts and such that way instead of waiting for reply's on a forum.

IRC is good but I know people will be put off using it so what about XFire? I assume you all use it? My username is 'cigol' on that. I think the game clashes with Xfire but we can always arrange in it and then close it when playing. Other than that I guess we could just use the Nforce IRC channel if it is still around?
As for timezones; it will be a problem but I'm sure there will be weekends where we can all make time or something like that.
I'm in the UK myself.
