Sure, I was thinking of yarring the ea version and giving it a go, but I don't have much free time these days (i.e. to play video games), and probably won't for a few more weeks. Still, I am interested to see how this turns out.
I grabbed this one earlier today, and am kinda regretting it at the moment to be honest.
Looks nice, but the "feel" to the combat (hitting, blocking, stagger) just feels...wrong. It's there, but doesn't feel impactful.
Apart from that, I've got a bug where in Windowed Fullscreen mode my mouse somehow keeps clicking on desktop elements behind the game, causing the taskbar to pop-up mid game. If I switch it to Exclusive Fullscreen this problem goes away, but the UI elements and image are stretched off screen.
Honestly, for like $8, even if this ends up being a flop I feel like they deserve to keep the money, so I probably won't refund it. Their heart is in the right place, time will tell if they can polish this up to something awesome.
Even 1 person can do a LOT in 1 day, believe me, i am on my 4th game. Gamepad support, that is maybe a day of work with an agent, if even that. Localizations, also easy with AI.
There's is no indie dev who isn't taking advantage of Codex or Claude, if they don't, well, they are morons / clueless.
Do you wan't to be 1-2 persons where everything takes months or even years, or do you want to be a ""team"" (unlimited ai agents) who can do month's of work in days.
It is now an option for absolutely everyone.
There's absolutely no doubt that using AI agents is now (almost) imperative. It's the "tool" that you are kinda forced to use if you want to be efficient - at least when we talk about time - and will 100% optimize the development process.
The good parts about all this AI 'madness' cannot be ignored.
Maybe the focus is on what they are releasing not how much.
"How much"? What do you mean exactly?
Basic things should be a priority and they are usually quick to do, UI, controls, anything that has to do with player options, that is fast to implement.
Then bigger things like a new part of the map and new game systems, these will take time, even with AI agents that can take many months of daily work to get right.
Then there should be a list of priority of course and how different devs judge that can be different than how i would do it, or how the players would prefer. But usually you should listen to the players, let at least 1 person have that as a priority when you are more than 1.
