Pretty good hockey, better than Ea. But if you lose a game, you start all over.
This is nostalgia, mine is Brett Hull hockey, most people refer to NHL 95 though.
Could have been so much more though. The campaign is way to short. This needed a 2nd and 3th tier campaign, especially since they charge 20 bucks for this. Or at least 2 extra final bosses, the golvers get old realy quick.
Also the gameplay is imbalenced. Attacking/scoring feels good. Sometime kinda random and unfair when goals feel kinda random but that's how those game were at the day. Sometimes you do see an oppertunity to score with a onetimer and that's realy satisfying. Defence and checking sucks though (fuck you prince Tristan). And the game seems to be balanced around it cause the AI (at pro level) hardly scores a goal. With the crusaders as an exception cause the prince always scores when not knocked down, and I fail to do so every 3th or 4th time cause of the clunky controls. Like not being able to select the right guy in time or only being able to check from behind and that fails for no reason.
Love playing with prince Tristan you can turn him into a goalscoring machine.
Once you finish the fun continues, unlock new squads and different rules, for ex the slapstick squad, you can't pass the other side and shoot only power shoots count.
