Can anyone share/link a save file/slot? Want to check out performance on the most demanding areas (big cities) and some optiscaler FSR4.0 injection testing too.
The game has a complicated save system to say the list, but after all this time surely there's a way to cut and paste files from one player to the other? Didn't find anything on Nexus or on a google search so maybe not
I only tried the latest isodemo to check how it runs on my 10 years old GTX1070. Seems playable even inside the capital. You can rush straight to the big capital if you follow the main quest, get to Melve and choose to go with the horse carriage to the city. Tho have to fight a Gorgon and an Ogre but overall takes 30 mins if you skip the cutscenes.
Don't even know where the Rune release puts the savegames. Found a folder in AppData>Local, but not sure if it has saves. Files inside are only .json and .lua.

<system drive>\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\RUNE\2054970\remote\win64_save
should be the save game location if you don't mind sharing it.

Ok found it. Not sure about this site but uploaded it there -

PS: Tbh, not even sure if I saved inside the city and before I uninstalled the game.
And I made some generic pawn. In DD1 had some fatty goblin looking pawn that was too disgusting and removed it after few hours.
Even on supposedly the most demanding area (market district) there wasn't seemingly a hit in performance as expected; it even had much less NPC's on screen than seen in other games and even those NPC's were phasing in and out of existence
Guess that those were some of the optimizations that ended up stabilizing the game's performance?
Now, any reason to play the first game instead of this one like some lore/story/knowledge on characters necessary from the first game?

weird thing to not get right and when the fix is so easy as well, its like a 5 second fix for them but yeah, they clearly dont see it. i saw a longer discussion about some FROM software stuff as well which is just shit for a lot of people, its very clear they do not see it as an issue whatsoever.
Honestly isn't having much fun with the expansion DLC. Enemies are VERY tanky and with a new gearing system you have to apprise loot. So it's all very tedious. Especially when you've been away from the game since it's release and have to relearn how to walk
Almost at the end of the DLC.
Did go in with New Game Plus so my char had endgame gear/money/items.
I did go for the DLC content straight away.
What's in the DLC?:
The DLC has a new region and a total of 12 dungeons.
Most of the dungeons you can reach immediately but for 4 of them you need to do the main story of the vanilla game. So yeah i did like 7-8 dungeons and went for the DLC area.
Is the game much better now in regards of it's issues?
Yes and no.
Some things are better now but new mechanics and the dlc itself introduce new issues imo.
Basically DD2 vanilla was an 8/10 for me and now almost after finishing the DLC the evaluation didn't change.
It's 1 step forward and 1 step back.
*Random loot in DD2 vanilla is/was an issue but now in the DLC region you get loot spoils that you need to identify at some npc where weapons/armors get different "skill/passive skill boosts" even if they are the same weapon though there are variations.
So does that make you want to explore the whole map? A little at the beginning but later on not that much. The postgame especially is build so you grind your ass off so yeah.
*Even with endgame gear the enemies are spongey af and after killing same (spongey)mini boss the 4th 5th 6th time you stop counting. I could get much more content out of this game with doing the later game dlc dungeons and the post game but i probably wont...
Not regretting spending money on this.
In the end there is only so much a DLC can do.
Let's hope the "success" (i hope it was) of the dlc leads to a Dragon's Dogma 3 where they fix all the lingering issues e.g. loot, exploration, enemy variety etc.
