Looks good apart from the boring survival shit.

But by the gods how i miss the old skill trees in games, just being able to see how my character is doing on 1 page, just a very readable list. no longer an option in new RPG's, it used to be so satisfying. playing skyrim now and i have to fly through fucking space to see where i'm at for a certain skill.

everything doesn't need to be a spectacle in a RPG i think, especially stuff around stats, skills. "oh the skill tree, well let us make the player travel through SPAAAACE! Swisssssh, swooooosh!! that will keep his attention!"

You end up having to memorize where you are at, or maybe write it down, or spend a minute navigating the game. totally defeats the purpose of RPG'ing in a way because your stats and skills is who you are but you are not allowed to see the full picture easily.

Well there are settings, you can make it as easy or as tedious as it needs to be.

Speaking of the skill tree, the one here is pretty good, core skills are available right at the start, with more specialized stuff going out further per each class and most of them can be enhanced further with gear and rings.

I see they also changed loot a bit, got like 3-4 rings early on with Mana+Health increases. Overall feels like a true step up.

They've added audio transcripts of all notes you pick up exploring and they can play in the background when you keep looting etc. Such a nice QOL thing that more games should do.

But the performance is not great. I see a significant fps drops when exploring and changing resolution or graphic quality doesn't change it, drops still happens (it runs good most of the time, but those drops are just annoying).

I've started new world with new character and have a blast so far.

PSA: I play it on CachyOS and I suggest turning off shader pre-caching if you have it turned on, otherwise Steam will be downloading a 20GB "of something" every time Steam restarts. Also Vulkan shader compilation takes ages first time running the game (on Ryzen 7 9800X3D it took good 45 minutes, might be more, I just let it be and it was finished when I was back).

Some people reported issues with Vsync being on on reddit. But also many with AMD cards, while Nvidia seems to run better, also quite a few issues with people using FSR.

45min for shaders is insane though whatever causes it.

Just started this, knowing nothing about the game apart from what I read here. A bit overwhelming, as it's clear there's a lot of mechanics going on in the background. Exploring the starter area is already telling me I'm going to like this a lot. Keep forgetting how everything can be destroyed too. Very Happy

Performance is fine here, with everything maxed out, but I haven't made it far into the game yet, don't know if that matters much.

Playing with a controller is probably going to get very tedious, with all the resource management and building, but I'll see how far I get Very Happy

Game also looks much better than what a lot of youtube videos suggest.

The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.
And you may pour us away like soup. Like we're pretty broken flowers.
We'll take back what is ours. One day at a time.

Well isodemo is out, there are quite a lot of builds for archers (one skill is a jump hover while aiming), going into mid-endgame you can get eternal arrows too. The combat is pretty simple, besides regular and heavy attacks and blocking there isn't any intricate mechanic to it, however it doesn't need to be, most games already do this better but combat isn't the main focus here besides a bit of bossing in between fighting some mobs.

@Il_Padrino They absolutely improved it it was very nice and scenic before but now the with the draw distance is quite impressive, they also did some stuff with the lighting
