I stayed away from them as much as i could cause i dont really care, ofcourse ive seen some snippets that werent unavoidable. What i watched in whole was the Netflix thing, but more because it was better polished but nothing amazed me from what ive seen there.
@blackeyedboy Hurricane and Purple Sun they made are also pretty good! Don't remember where I got them from, but Youtube always finds a way to recommend me all types of good stuff.
Interested in how fast it will be cracled, that's going to be another interesting saga.
At this point it would be easier to do an AI port of the console version
Imagine the console AI port with upscaling, framegen, etc grafted on performing better than the official PC release (except no since GTAV and RDR2 PC versions exist, but my mind is still stuck in the abysmal GTA4 PC port)

Dubious source with no real confirmation, I doubt it's gonna hit in March.
With what is going on lately they kinda don't have a choice. And there is no doubt PC version is ready on day one.
Exactly what i thought - they can risk it and hope there wont be a working leak or they hurry up the releasedate and try to play it safe.
Current situation is more than risky as is, especially when you consider the amount of work and money that has flown into.
It doesnt matter if the game is complete or not as a majority of certain demographics just woudnt care and are fine/happy with just being in the gameworld.

With that title, i woudnt be surprised if its 24 hours, at max a couple of days. Remember GTA IV - didnt take long either for a new iteration of CP, took a couple fixes.
Now imagine this one, everyone wants to be the first one who did it and now with the capabilities of AI, especially in RE and the accessibility as of today - its already lost before it has even begun, almost certain of it
Another example is the Sony debacle, if people are pissed and really want something they move mountains, today easier than ever
Even if someone released it, they don't cater to any 3rd party, that would set a dumb precedent for any future title.
@Stormwolf 2028? Why, is PS6 releasing there or what made you think of this? That would be 2 years away, anything other than a new console would be a grave financial mistake to release it that late.
assuming there will be such a thing as new consoles. The way things are going if there is a new one it'll be some cloud game streaming client screen shit due to shortages and price hikes.

Current gen consoles could do that.
The next gen of consoles (at least Xbox) is expected next year.
Rockstar says its next major development cycle should be shorter
The three development heads explain that GTA VI required foundational changes to its technology, tools and organization. They believe future content and projects can reuse this infrastructure rather than rebuilding it.
It's not like an earlier PC release really loses R* any money. They will not publicly announce a release until the new year anyway, which means most people will not notice the rumors and still buy the game on release or for Christmas. Largest portion of people will have bought it by then. Sure R* probably wanted to squeeze the lemon a little longer, but I doubt it makes a significant impact and people who just want to play on PC probably wouldn't opt for playing emulated version or similar, at least again not to a significant degree.

WARNING: Cyberleek has just published a GTA 6 video what looks to contain small portions of the ending of the game
I watched it myself NO SPOILERS for you guys but the video starts off normally with barbershop gameplay, then at the end of the video he shows portions of landscapes and transitions without any characters but it looks like a conclusion of the game from what I saw If you're planning on not getting the game spoiled to you, now is a good time to take measurements

Sounds like Bull to me, its not they had to rewrite the whole engine like from GTA 2 to GTA 3, i cant see where the time went - I would more lean that they slept so good and too long on the GTAO Money they made and just missed the right timing - same as with HL³, im sure it wont work as good today as it worked when it was fresh, Targetgroup these days has changed/shifted

Due to AI i bet, but they cant say that. you'd be crazy to not do a TON of this with AI, build the whole editor around that with a MCP. Let it test every function in all scenarios for example, when it finds a bug it can fix the code or just propose a fix.
Would be so interesting to a glimpse of it, but they cant show it of course.
Thats almost a given with how the tools/tooling proceeds, the other day i needed to look at some obfuscated scripts for a better understanding and instead of just doing this one script we just made a decompiler from scratch in like 10 hours that worked for every other container aswell. (I was under the impression we just do it once)
Issue is that AI is a synonyme for AI Slop Shortclips that are just bad, not only content wise but also the persistance etc. ... you know what i mean. Therefore everyone tries to walk the minefield as careful as possible.
I think we will look back at this period and facepalm ourself at the stupidity which emerged.
Also the ones who says 2030 is the end of humanity and they get hundreds of thousands of likes and views. What the hell are they going to do in 2030 and after that i wonder...
But maybe people are so stupid that they will continue to follow them. Hoping that some day in the future maybe. God i hate that fucking doomers cult, be it religion, climate, AI... how do you even come to be like that i wonder.
Thats a so and so, doom praying with how they do it these days (Dario for example) is for me "having watched to much Terminator"... In a metaphorical sense, its only half the story.
But, AI in itself is just plain stupid and only has access to knowledge and fills his little context wallnut every couple of secs to fit in as much as it can - but that also means there is no place for longterm thinking or moral etc. so without the right context window it will plain up kill you if ordered and from that standpoint there is a pretty big chance that some dark forces plan something like that - infiltrating the infrastructure that the world relies on with billions or trillions of agents who can work/hack their way in an instant/unsupervised and that shoudnt be disregarded.
So yeah Dario giving his 2 cents by dooming us all is crap, wont happen out of the blue - what they do these days in regards to regulation is the rest of the story as they hit a wall and cant promise more than that exists while what exists is still not what was promised years ago and investors finally start to ask questions on RoI - thats why we are now have just finetunes and better tooling to save it somehow and throwing stuff like Dots and Muse at the people in hopes to attract more people who would actually PAY for it. Recent studio shows that only 2,5% of households in the US actually pay for their Usage, rest is non existent or just on a Free plan/Homelab. Then the rising of all the OpenSource models catching up fast...
there will be a lot of shit with AI like there's tons and tons of shit with internet. internet didn't kill us either, watch War Games and sure, it might have seen like a super bad thing to connect computers at all (pre-internet even) and here we are with internet, the whole world is connected at this point, and we are not dead.
we don't need AI to dream up these doomsday scenarios. internet and hackers who takes over everything and has bad intent is enough to start believing the end is just around the corner.
