Ehh, i don't particularly like the guy, but i bet he's quite on point on this one. people watched some guy/guys talk about pride flags and jumped him with it. Why should have sit and take that? Obviously he shouldn't. Now if it was something he actually hid in true shill like fashion, then its fair game.

Like... the comments? By not allowing anyone else to set the narrative besides him? Either don't release this sort of video at all, or do but leave the comments open.
Also him calling others "grifters"... especially in *this* particular video is really golden.
Guy really is competing with Raging Ramon for Gaming lolcow of the year (no chance for both while DSP still breathes... well, snorts  ).

Well i agree with that part. If he's gonna "excuse" himself, then he shouldn't start insulting everyone, especially for things he does himself. That is kinda lame

But that's all he does usually to criticism. He wont reply to comments so its a back and forth.
He stands alone on his box, and makes a one sided video attack those that disagree. While insulting them with tropes and stereotypes to enlarge the bullseye he's aiming at.
I personally do not like anyone's videos that is "A response to" type video. As it is a single sided dialog that always sets up 'who' is attacking in a negative light, throws hyperbole around, all while being the only speaker on the debate stage for the duration.
Comes off as someone on stage everyone can hear, arguing with someone in the crowd they cant. So they only hear the side the one on stage wants them to.
I also don't think pride shit should be in games unless somehow it relates to the story (which isn't a game I would play if it did, if thats a theme it's not a mechanic I want to deal with. But not my money others spend to play it).
But this video felt like a "Gather `round fans that agree. Listen to me retort without the others having the privilege of commenting back in real time breaking my pacing of argument"
But then again as his time goes on, he gets more binary: Either a game is GOTY, or utter shite. No inbetween. Even if he likes 90% of it, one thing that is 'meh' or outside his wheelhouse turns it to 'utter shite' and spends 3/4 of the video ranting about 1/50th of the game mechanics.
So same here. No middle ground. 10 minute video of how HE didnt see it, so those that did, are overblowing it.

His main point is right though, i won't budge on that. But his issue is his commenters, not some youtubers targeting (speculation). If they crash his channel for something he didn't know about (burried pride flags in multiplayer) and have people out with their pitchforks in the comments then i'd likely have closed the comments too if i made such a video. Like how do fix that? you can't. You can either let these people sabotage your reputation or close it. I think closing is about right. People have incredibly short memory so it'll blow over the next tiny tihng that enters peoples mind.
But you certainly don't start counterattacking when your stance is already weak

Shit, no one can do that as well as himself. He's been a pro at it for years.
