i think in a direction comparison it would shit all over GTA 5, like the super detailed distance and a lot of other things.
If you are mostly going with how you remember GTA5 and how it looks, you would likely be surprised.
On the other hand, when its modded to the max and someone knows what they are doing in terms of WHEN to shoot the video (correct atmosphere, like in overcast) then it can look quite stunning. These videos for GTA6 arent that at all though, they're just random videos from whenever, no consideration for when to shoot it to make it look as good as possible. This is what Rockstar will hate for sure, they want that as directed as possible, not shown in this way.
And sure, graphics overall in games aren't providing such drastic changes as it did in 200X, its more subtle differences.
I play GTA daily with the new mods I am making. So how I remember it, was from like 30 minutes ago
One difference I do like is it not as 'brown filter' as GTA5 is outside of town. And even ni town, just less noticeable as less things to highlight the brown color temperature.
And I think we just disagree, because we are measuring on different metrics. Like detailed distance is not a thing I look at, or care about really. Long as "not in my direct cone of sight' looks good enough that I don't stop playing to look and go "man I noticed that was bad" I don't notice it.
Like in any game with it. I turn it on max, look in places I normally dont while playing and I DO go "man that looks good" and start playing again and barely notice unless its a 'perfect setup' camera angle where the distance is most the scene.

He does the people you talk to. I am making Ambient Awareness. A plugin that makes every other NPC a AI talking ped. They talk to each other comment on shit they see, or are doing. So you dont hear the same 50 canned NPC lines over, and over and over.
Ive heard "No count asshole" and "Hey remember me, it's mama!" about 60000 times. So got with him to make sure hes not planning 'never talk to NPCs' and started on it to mesh with his (same voice, and personality, and memories of what they said)
Its still a WIP, but what I got so far, just walk around and they talk about shit:
(ignore the arrows over the head, they are for me when testing)
if you listen during the conversations, you can also hear the random passersby's saying shit to me now and then.

that second video had me laughing. The insult battle I randomly ran into while testing it.

Haha, I actually really like GTA 5, i should try playing it modded some time. I do hate the modding community though, everything good (almost) being behind paywalls.
haha, why? you want him to release it no matter what?
Well... yes
Just dropping it all anonymously would be pretty awesome.
2nd best result is what stormwolf says:

The cryptocoin shit and attention seeking behaviour (big surprise nowadays, right? ) really ruin it.
But seeing the dildo's defending rockstar and polesmokers trying to "unmask da hacker!!11!11" has been really fun too, so that's a win.
Now drop the build and make it a win-win but I doubt he does.

This thing would have been 10x more funny, less pathetic and leaving the world in shock if the guy had never posted anything, just the build suddenly being on trackers and forums
The end.
Such a pretender, first talking about gaming rights to justify his bullshit, his only goals ever were attention/thrill and money.
Now empty threats that likely have nothing to do with reality, just showing how scared he is.
Hope they catch him and he is taught a lesson he will never forget.
Whoever says it looks mildly better than GTA 5 has no eyes, no offense this is just part of the 'I'm edgy I go against the mainstream' type of thing
We will see on release
yea, I am known for my anti-mainstream game media angsty edginess...
Could it not be that the things I judge it on is different than you? And what I see reminds me more of GTA5 with graphics mods, than a new game? Better than GTA5 for sure, but reminds me enough of it (on my things I care about) that I came to that conclusion?
I am looking forward to the game, and will 100% buy it. Why would I be edgy about GTA for the sake of it? I have never shit on a game just to be: LAWL popular game, graphics are shit.

Fine by me. I didn't ask to be in it either.
You are arguing my personal opinion on a thing I will buy, is wrong.
Me thinking I expected more, in no way will make yours look worse to you. Dunno what your point was. That I can't think that in my own head?
Edit: Wait, your right. I went back and looked at it with your eyes and expectations. It's way better. Can I keep the eyes? I like how it looks with them

hello microsoft ID hello lawsuits ... rockstar is gonna make an example out of these with their billions and microsoft will hand u on a silver platter with device id
so basically they have to trow away their hardware ? or is a pc wipe enough combined with a mac address change and never install windows again on said hardwar ??
I checked out the Cyberleek website, the hacker behind GTA 6, and it's clearly not the work of an amateur.
I'm convinced it's not just one person, but a full-fledged group of hackers.
Their contact system works in two steps:
- First, it generates a Session account (secure, anonymous, and decentralized messaging) with a unique recovery phrase. This allows anyone wanting to reach out to have a disposable, end-to-end encrypted communication channel.
- Then, it generates a Monero (XMR) donation amount, an anonymous cryptocurrency. Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana, its blockchain is private, and transaction amounts are completely obfuscated. So no one can see how much you've sent—except the person holding the private key (Cyberleek).
They ask for 400 XMR (165k$), but what's really fascinating are the figures AFTER the decimal point.
There are 12 decimal places generated alongside the Session account, serving as a unique identifier. When you send exactly that amount, Cyberleek detects the transaction on the blockchain, extracts the decimals, recalculates the corresponding Session ID, and reaches out to you.
According to the site, it's purely mathematical/cryptographic on the client side. The page generates a 12-digit ID mathematically linked to the Session account. Since Monero hides amounts, only Cyberleek can decrypt the received amount and retrieve your Session ID. No server-side storage of the ID is needed before payment.
They also specify that you absolutely must send the funds from a personal wallet (Cake Wallet, Feather...) and not from an exchange, or the decimals might get rounded, and they'll never be able to track you down.
I think it's a pretty elegant system, and you can see the same level of sophistication in their infrastructure.
Their site can hardly be taken down for good, because it's hosted in a decentralized way on Arweave (permanent and immutable blockchain storage), and its content is accessible via numerous gateways on the ar(dot)io network.
These gateways are access points that serve the same HTML file stored on Arweave. Taking down one gateway (or even several) changes almost nothing, since the site will still be accessible on all the others, and new mirrors can pop up in minutes.
All these elements convince me that Cyberleek is a group, not a lone individual, and given their methods, they're pros. Their knowledge of cryptography and decentralized tech suggests we're far from your average script kiddies or hackers who only break in via social engineering. There's real technical mastery here.
The somewhat childish/trolling vibe might suggest otherwise, but the technical side is beyond doubt.
Same goes for how they handle communications: everything runs through their website. They deliberately avoid any social networks that could leave logs and compromise their identity.
so basically they have to trow away their hardware ? or is a pc wipe enough combined with a mac address change and never install windows again on said hardwar ??
That's no how this works, that's not how any of this works
None of the three steps does anything, because none of them touch where the data lives.
Chain goes:
Microsoft's account records > phone number, recovery email, linked Google/Xbox accounts, login IPs > subpoena the ISP > subscriber name and address.
Getting rid of it AFTER they have that data, is like covering your face after robbing a bank.
And throwing away the hardware when they can find you: Doing so once you're on notice of litigation, is spoliation and a federal crime in a federal case.

GTA will never have a good car physics and/or proper damage model. Take2 will never allow it. Most of the customer base would quit playing it in first week then
