Spider-Man: Brand New Day [31st July]

Quote:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.

Meh.
Feels like I've already seen everything in that trailer in the current spider man's previous movies, and on the one before that and on the one before that. Guess really liking the actors could make it better but...

Messi is such a retard Laughing

The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.
And you may pour us away like soup. Like we're pretty broken flowers.
We'll take back what is ours. One day at a time.

https://variety.com/2026/film/box-office/spider-man-brand-new-day-box-office-opening-record-avengers-endgame-1236826336/

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” captured a mind-boggling, record-setting $360 million in its domestic debut, officially ranking as the biggest debut in box office history. After landing above Sunday’s estimates of $355 million, “Brand New Day” has outpaced the prior all-time benchmark of 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame” with $357 million (not adjusted for inflation).

Marketing people have shifted the narrative, so catch up.

Every movie that expects to succeed now reports great sales. Studios invest in these headlines, its part of the marketing budget. They own the theaters, they own the review portals, they control every step of the pipeline.

We know when a movie's shit, we can trust ourselves that. What we cannot trust is the real sales numbers, real number of viewers, real anything. Since it's a critical piece of headlining in the first 2 weeks of release, never trust anything until you get proper source reviews. And I mean real ones, not the shills who shit on everything because that's easy to monetize (like the guy that religiously reposts critical dunker on these forums thinking its gospel).

The only way, the only true way is as it's ever been.

Wait for the 2160p HDR ETHEL

Saw it a yesterday, it was actually quite decent for a movie like this, with that i mean in comparison to latest Thor movie and similar. 7 to 7.5/10 is about right i think.

Never seen so many people at our little cinema btw, maybe at LOTR, otherwise no.
