for claude its not too bad since it will reset on thursday.
for codex its worse because that one i burned through to next month.
its maybe $50 worth or something.
i have anti-gravity (Google) now left.. and it kind of sucks. i hope they come out with Gemini 3.5 Pro pretty soon.

what the? I have 100% usage left in Codex again. i used it up until next month yesterday, i used up the "reset" thing you get to get extended usage.
Ok, now i am a fan of them  this is such an obvious trap btw
i do wonder how much will change in, let's say, 5 years.. likely we will have new operating systems which are tailormade in new ways and miles ahead of Windows, likely having patreon or similar though.
Indie games, it will be far less of a thing on Steam probably, market flooded. More something you share freely (already a thing but it will grow).
Everyone customizing their apps in the way they want, customizing their OS in far deeper ways than now, way beyond graphics and UI.
We will look back at this time as being so contrived and limited, no doubt. Consoles will feel laughable because of painted into the corner you are.

I personally feel like this is a future we dream for. But the future we get will be different.
- This to me, is much like the coming of the internet: Imagine in 5-10 years everyone having access to all human knowledge and wisdom at the touch of their fingers. Open free creative paths to connect people to create and form amazing things. Anyone can look up anything to get smarter and more knowledge about anything they desire.
- Reality: People mostly look at cat videos, watch shit like jake paul, and porn mostly. The rest is used to argue with each other.
This will be the same. The dream is promising, but just a dream. Most average people will use it to make sex bots, generate big tit goth girls, and edit tiktok and instagram videos with AI CGI.

It matters little to me how internet is used or how AI will be used, of course there will be the usual degenerative shit, that is expected. If 1% are doing good stuff with it, it will matter, same as it did for internet, i mean its 99% garbage, the 1% is still a LOT, more than i can consume.

It's a lot like the sale of mobile frequencies in the ninetees. Telecom companies paid sums that could never be earned back at actions and they knew they money was wasted. But the companies that didn't bought those frequencies are no longer telecom companies. And after that big shift the frequencies dropped in price and the companies could go back to the buissiness of earning real money.
So big tech invests in AI now. They know they will never earn their current investment back. But if they lose the AI race they probably stop existing as one of the major big tech companies in the future. It's about perserving market share and staying relevant in the future. Big tech makes so much money they can afford to waste it all without any pain, it will only cost the shareholders some short term returns.
The thing that will crash though is the price for hardware and the semi industry. Profits will plumit when the demand for GPU's stops increasing so supply can keep up with demand. The industry will survive but profits (and the stockprice) will be decimated.

when people or media talk about shit they dont understand and put their money in it. its a bubble plain and simple ... look at korea stock market atm ... bigger rolleecoasters then a theme park when a ceo misspeaks or farts.. A SINGLE CEO
for me ai atm is just more shitty google search results on the top page above the advertized links instead of links to a wiki or a law page ... its summarizes a bunch of pages without me knowing if its 100 percent correct or not... thats a sidegrade at best for profesional use
lets see how it goes. a lot of costly mistakes have yet to be uncovered and sued for... before companies will make the costs benefit analysis ... they do it for a human life ... they sure as hell will do it for ai ... who cares if misses 98y old grannie gets a wrong bill and cant mash her way through the ai assistant ...
already see it in thevideo game support ... blizzards customer support has been a total shitshow but the sheep customers dont care untill they actually have to deal with it themselves an sofar not enough people have been confronted with thats really coming .... no more human to talk too

like i said before, totally uninteresting if something is a "bubble", yes, interesting if you are investing, but for anyone else, no. It's certainly risky, not every AI company can become the next Google, only one or two, maybe a handful will survive out of all. How does not everyone know this per default. It's like that for everything. AI has a lot of hype so its easy to make a dumb choice, sure. Are you going to invest money? Maybe be careful. Kind of a no-brainer.
How an AI will summarize or work is up to how you set it up, it can vary in a million ways and it can be as dumb or as smart as you want with searches. Good luck setting up a search engine how you prefer it to work, its very limited in comparison.
Summarizing and searching is just one out of thousands of things you can do with it. I mostly do scripts to make things easier when i work with something, small apps, additions to the OS, audio plugins (full on synths, effects etc), games, various tools for image generation anything from small scripts to sometimes full-on programs with Image LLM's inside them with Photoshop-like abilities on top.

Testing Kimi K3, lots of hype around it, people saying its as good as Fable. One thing i can say, its so slow that it will take me at least 3 days to even understand if its good or not, its like 10x as slow as Fable, its also not cheap in usage. I think it has a lot of paid shills claiming to "review" it, but its just a paid ad for it.

Since it's from China i do not trust it. It could be genuinely good and maybe some people gets in the fast lane or gets a slightly superior model (e.g maybe all americans since that is where most of the reviews will come from), then the plebs get some fucking dirt road version or scaled down version. i am not going to review it, i might complain on nfohump, who cares, its not hurting them.

i use the app in Windows, but who knows how that is setup with e.g IP's, maybe i should try a VPN and see i i get a speed boost hehe.
What is strange / off, no one has said that
1. its really, REALLY slow
2. its not always even translated, you get a chinese summary.
that is dishonest. if you are doing a review, then you tell these things.

I am using Work version though, will try Code. I guess it's a CLI which i do not like working from. We moved on from DOS for a reason.
