Tear Along The Dotted Line - 7/10
An imaginative and (surprisingly) thoughtful mini mini-series, packed with 90s pop culture references and introspective jokes that will probably be lost on non-native speakers, but the final result is charming nonetheless.
Obsession
Make-a-wish-gone-wrong flick with a socially challenged protagonist going through the obligatory dose of manipulative and ridiculous pseudo-hurrhur nonsense that comes with the territory. I should really stop downloading these kinds of movies out of curiosity as the only emotion I get from them is absolute cringe, yet I keep falling for it.

Evil Dead Burn - 6/10
Lots of blood/guts and tributes to different movies (2 endcredit scenes btw)...but it lacked something which I cannot put my thumb on what it is. Also, the demons felt abit too human.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Like Sound of Freedom, which was also crappy, these movies fill a void. There's apparently a high audience demand for right wing/religious stuff currently but despite everything nothing gets greenlit so all they get is low budget or indie crap. These crumbs are then hyped up.

The Drama - 5,5/10
An interesting-ish deviation from the classic romance formula that adds some ̶s̶p̶i̶c̶e gunpowder to the mix, unfortunately ruined by characters who progressively start behaving in awkwardly artificial ways just to move the "plot" along.
Backrooms (for the sake of completeness)
Yet another hopelessly insipid entry in terms of actual content and execution that somehow became a sensation, a renASSaince alright. I'll concede that the visual style is fitting, albeit not exactly original.

Primal Fear - 8/10
I needed a palate cleanser and dug this oldie out of my re-watch pile, the mission was a success. Although the movie isn't immune to a few signature cheesy 90s moments, it is well constructed and pretty effective still. Edward Norton's performance here is nothing short of legendary, especially the ending which is *chef's kiss*

Odyssey - 6/10
It's one of the lesser Nolan movies, but he is in decline as of late.
I think people call it "Absolute Cinema" because it's a movie that isn't shot like this nowadays—as it has a lot of practical sets, a lot of extras—but IMO somehow (I've seen it in regular format) not shot in an interesting way. For me, there weren't any breathtaking set pieces, but instead, it had a lot of close-ups. After watching it, I have to admit too that there was a lot of miscast characters: Tom Holland as Telemachus, but if the idea was having a fucking sissy boy, then it was a great cast. Fucking Zendaya, because she has to be in everything. Anne Hathaway as Penelope I found cringe (especially in the argument scene with Telemachus). Elliot Page—just fucking nope, especially with his male-female alternating voice. Lupita Nyong'o—I like her as an actress, but here as Helena, she only vibed angry niggres. Matt Damon was ok. John Leguizamo and Robert Pattinson were fantastic.
The fucking costumes were atrocious, especially the armors—it was Witcher's scrotum-armor level of shit. Also the visual inconsistencies: Odysseus had three ships that, between scenes, had from 20 to 100 soldiers on boards—WTF? Also, sailing in full armor in full sun. Additionally, the ships had landing boats that apparently they conjured from thin air because they were nowhere to be seen on the ships. Really amateur hour. To this, some shitty CGI, or rather your typical mid-2020s CGI where everybody forgot how to render high-quality shit.
The movie is kind of a slog where we see snippets of more interesting parts of Odysseus's journey, aka meeting some mythological creatures that are shown to be more eldritch, unbeknownst beings from a human point of view. And the situation in Penelope's court with all the suitors just sitting there for years and feasting. The last act really elevates the movie from being plain, where finally all the plot situations that happened to Odysseus make sense.
For me, the movie lacked brilliance—it felt like Dunc but with adapting mythology, somehow a failed attempt but praised because it was made by a known director.
Egger's Northman eats this shit for breakfest if I would have to compare.
(although Circe bit and inside of trojan horse were fantastic)

The issue I had with Northman was Kidman's mutilated face. Like with anything modern she's in, I just can't stop looking at that. She used to be a scene stealer for her beauty … now she still steals scenes, just for the wrong reasons.

Backrooms 8/10
this reminded me so much of how i dream. like how dreams are kind of derpy and mixes up details, forgets details, exaggerates them or can make you feel trapped in a specific environment.
i was thinking maybe it could be a series instead but its also kind of dishonest to do that because the ending will never be satisfying anyways. there are so many series like that anyways, the weird theme that gets you nowhere, its just a grind. so i think appreciate that it wasn't.

The Mandalorian and Grogu 3/10
Absolute trash. Kid's movie. Garbage "plot", garbage characters. I only somewhat liked the scenes at the swamp because it slowed down the pace, although it didn't add anything in the end.
What was the movie trying to achieve? A slap in the face to long time fans? It gave nothing to the Star Wars lore, zero conclusion to anything related to Mando or Grogu. What is the point of Grogu anymore? I remember him being a bit of a mystery, now the green git is just an easy cash grab for children. They even went and ruined Babu Frik -species (speaking coherent English suddenly).
Worst character of all time: that child Hutt. So out of place.
Star Wars down the drain. And this guy is supposed to succeed Kathleen Kennedy iirc?

I never liked the games when I tried them. In fact, I found them highly annoying.
The movie was a LOT better than the games I tried but it's not a good movie IMHO(!).

its one of those movies where you can tell even the creators were like "uhhhh...are they being serious??? They really want a movie, now?"
It's like 2.5-3 years late. They were late with everything with the Mandalorain.
Everyone wanted a Grogu toy after the first season, there was none to be had apart from third party and home made Grogus which sold like hotcakes.. Everyone wanted a movie, maybe around S2, nope. 57 years later "we heard you wanted a toy! we heard you wanted a movie!" frigging idiots.
