could be a design choice, i mean movies doesn't run at 60fps, so maybe they want to mimic something more cinematic with it.
But more likely: more advanced graphics kicks in for cut scenes and FPS is lowered, that is quite common for cut scenes.
Quite fun game! using 40 FPS mode on PS5 lol, thought it would be terrible but nah.
It's only 2-3 years ago I finally completed original Black Flag and it was awesome and just started playing Resynced and all of that magic is back again.
I can't believe how good and awesome story AC games used to be.

I'ts the best one imo. No matter how much i hate ubi nowadays, they certainly nailed it with this one.

I was just coming here to say I played the original a few years ago and wasn't that impressed It was a lot better in my memories than it was.
But the new one is good and improves on the original then?
The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.

"My biggest disappointment with Black Flag Resynced is the removal of unarmed combat and enemy disarming. In the original game, one of my favorite parts of combat was disarming larger enemies, stealing their axes, or taking guns from guards and using their own weapons against them. It made Edward feel resourceful, unpredictable, and genuinely pirate-like.
Removing that mechanic makes the combat feel less varied and strips away one of the features that gave the original game so much personality. The updated version may look and feel smoother in other areas, but taking away player options is not an improvement. It is a clear downgrade from the original combat system."
This game feels very off. Everything is just weightless. At the flick of the stick, Whateverhisnameisway just sprints like a Kenyan at the olympics; move slightly the stick and he jumps mid climb the opposite way combat is also very weak (but for reasons other than what made Origin and Odyssey combat bad). Coming from Ghost of Yotei, everything feels like a feather.
It's been a while since I've touch a AssCradle game, and it could be "true to its time", but I just don't enjoy exploring. The graphics are nice, actually, and runs well on a Pussy 5 Pro, but the weightlessness just rubs me really the wrong way.
This weightlessness is a problem in many AAAaargh games.
Most of the time, the characters, their actions and the world interactivity feels weightless. There is no (camera) feedback for an action that would 'move' or make REALISTICALLY react the body of the character.
Even WALKING(!) feels like you slide across the screen like a prick that has no body, weight or presence in the world.
This shite is present even in Witcher 3 -- downgraded from Witcher 1 where there is a camera bob very well done. (BTW, RE4 Remake has a great TP camera also.)
You can see in this comparaison that the OG game had a camera shake / bob on movement --- that is now removed.
Thanks to fucking nauseating pansy gaymers that aren't used with making sports, running or walking more than 5 minutes...
I wonder... ... how much vomiting has occurred in the world during playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?! That game's camera bobs all over, everywhere...
I think the modern God of War games manage the weight question best. It is fast enough to not break the gameplay flow, whilst exploring or climbing. Slow enough in combat for there to be a need to time commitment, and punish hasty actions.
Only makes sense if there's still a yelllow tint in e.g rainy weather / overcast, but i doubt that is the case. Sunny weather obviously has a warm tone or even yellow tone to it.
This is why, when you take photos for textures you do not do it on a sunny day, your colors will be skewed, a white color will look yellow etc.. of course you can fix it in Photoshop but its not optimal or good practice.
Maybe its slightly overdone in the game though, kind of looking like sunset, but removing it, that looks way too cold for sunny weather, its not how it looks.
Some people need to go out more, or just pay attention more if they think they're color specialists suddenly vs artists who actually studies this It's the fucking Caribbean, maybe it actually should look kind of sunny...
I dunno. When i walk in the summer sun i never get the impression that everything is piss yellow. If yellow was natural then i don't think anyone would take much note of it
its because you are not paying attention, look at a white surface, it will have a yellow hue.
Take a photo of it even, open it in photoshop use color picker, it will lean towards yellow.
But this is a game, of course its exaggerated a bit, like all things in games, its also the Caribbean, its not Norway or Skyrim or Sweden
They are likely exaggerating blue when its stormy too. So if you for some reason must have a neutral tone in the game that doesn't read like "this is sunny", "this looks like overcast" then you likely need a tweak for that as well.
I bet some of the most famous paintings exaggerate this quite a bit as well. If pantings and games could express warmth on the skin etc then sure, it would be overdoing it and likely not needed.
Does the entire game take place during "magic hour"?
