The Visible Upgrade mod is mandatory to make the game playable on modern systems ( https://www.moddb.com/mods/deus-ex-2-visible-upgrade -> get the Beta update also) - albeit unfortunately it doesn't fix the frequent annoying loading screens on account of the tiny console-friendly levels, the dumbified UI, streamlined mechanics/universal ammo, blind AI, wonky physics and... you name it. Still, despite being one of the most disappointing sequels ever, the story is salvageable and so is the gloomy atmosphere, sharing many similarities with its (slightly more respectable) sibling Deadly Shadows.
