I had problems with my neighbour's dogs barking and wailing about 6-8 years ago. First thing I tried were earplugs, they didn't work for me, hurt my ears and didn't block efficiently any bothering me sounds. Tried all kinds of earplugs including wax ones. |
Flatten the dog.
I bought foam ones so they dont hurt the ears, but they dont block out the sounds entirely. Living next to a barking dog would drive me nuts. Was it a chihuahua? High pitched noises are harder to block.

A couple of German shepherds, but occasional wailers. Plus their puppies would pop up at times.

Oh noes, us Belgians must be really hated then. As we're (not everyone) able to speak: Dutch, French, German and English.
As for the language that really irritates me when I hear it: Danish. It sounds even more retarded than a West-Flanders dialect and trust me that's quite an accomplishment.
Oh right, I was supposed to just lurk. *hides back into the depths*
