mom left fridge open in garage ... i hear faint noise like a truck is backing up, cant hear it clearly . go check outside, go check in garage .. nothing special to see in dark...

i keep hearing it while in kitchen and pisses me off and go into dark garages to see if it closer to side of road we have no windows at... come closer to fridge in garage and there it is wide open ... beeping softly ...

and heres what pissed me off the most. IT TURNED OFF ITS INTERNAL LED LIGHT TO "SAVE POWER" SO I DIDNT SEE IT IN THE DARK THAT IT WAS OPEN ....

GENIOUSSES DESIGNERS .... save 2 watss while its slurping a thousand .... had light been on i would have seen it immediatly ... goddamn MUPPETS

Well you see, the lights job isn't to let you know you left it open.

Do you often search for things in the dark?
I left my keys in my garage, could not find them when I looked around in the dark either.
It could be just me, but if you searched the garage for the noise, and didnt even remotely notice an entire door open, light or no light. Not much searching was done.

If only Nightlights were invented or phosphorescence was known to the mankind or our ubiquitous smartphones had flashlights, "the night is dark and full of terrors" wouldn't have been an issue Cool

Deaf people...cant see? Im not sure where you was going with that. How does a light help deaf people?
If its so dark you can't tell a 5 foot door is open, then you don't have enough light to be looking for where a tiny sound is coming from to start with.

And if you are looking for a source of a sound. You don't need to see?

You R right that's bad design of a fridge. Still a sound could have been made by something devoid of any electrical component or bad design, and the issue of locating it would have still been about illumination, unless you are blind, but in this case you'd have had better hearing, unless you're deaf and blind, then if the thing didn't smell funny, you would have been screwed. Very Happy
