Just finished it on "Intended" (yea, yea ) difficulty. 15 hours for the campaign start to finish.
The intro/training was a bit of a slog, but the story, characters, and combat were all well done. There were some things you had to shut your brain off for - head poking out of the grass yet stealth'ed, gunshots going off in one room yet the situation is "contained" and enemies in the next room are clueless, etc. but apart from that I had a lot of fun.
Is it worth $70 for a 15 hour campaign? No. But once this drops to the $30'ish dollar range it's a solid buy.
Looking forward to the sequel (assuming the world and/or I survive that long).
If head didnt stick out you'd complain that you don't know where the character is in the tall grass and suddenly found yourself sticking out a bit and get seen by the enemy. If they outlined the character in the grass you'd complain about the immersion breaking lines. I think any solution to stealthing is alright as it's difficult if its not first person
You can't satisfy most popular gaming Youtubers anymore, because their whole business model is based on nagging. Like activists at some point they have to create more of the problems they supposedly fight against or else their raison d'ĂŞtre ceases to exist.
Sure, there are always some valid criticisms to point out but I've seen dimensions of nitpicking leveled against this game that are just wrong and unfair.
There will always be games outside of people's interest, if they also are big games getting big scores there will be an audience there who would love to see someone shit on the game (that they had no real interest in to begin with).
I have a hard time believing this is a 4/10 for this particular genre. What is Uncharted 4 on that same scale i wonder.
Didn't play it and maybe i would hate it, but it looks fine in the trailers. I'll get it on a sale though. Gothic remake and Black Flag will be my summer purchases apart from indies and evercade carts.
The character's head poking out of the grass in stealth mode is... somehow similar with Fisher's hide and seek in the darkest shadows.
In Chaos Theory, you could stand literally NEXT to the enemy in the shadow - having a flarking large green LED light shining on your back in the dark(!) - and he would NOT see you... But at the same time, the enemy SEES where he steps and CAN WALK easily in those shadows... ?!
So... there has to be some kind of concession here. You COULD assume that the grass - in reality - is thicker and taller but made more visible for the player for the sake of game playability.
And then we have the old thief games. Just stand in shadows and enemies basically have to bump into you to see you
If you stay silent in complete darkness it makes sense. Also sneaking and thieving here should basically be seen as his "super power".
I don't have a problem with games being game:y, kind of expected. If a game portrays itself as simulation, that is something else and it needs to be judged differently. Mack basically using "it should work like a simulator" for any game, unless its an indie with shit graphics (then it can be super game:y), gets kind of tedious and predictable.
There isnt even remotely a security risk using HV, as long as you're not a retard and click stupid shit on the web.
Riiiiiiight...

Dude, just get a denuvo token off reddit. I did it for Pragmata (before it was crackled...) and that shit works perfectly. For very new games like this there is bound to be a wait list, but that method has zero risk (other than disabling windows update).

Just don't think it's worth it for this or any other AAA game men, just reminds me of hitman and several other 3rd person games. Even if a game interests me it will probably release buggy, so I can wait months/years for the cracled "clean" version.

it's disappointing graphics arent better, we had this or perhaps better in Uncharted 4. If this was an indie, sure. This should be running on the latest mobiles, that would be ok maybe a bit impressive, on a modern PC, maybe not so much.
The menus are the worst shit I've ever seen. I almost quit while going through the graphics settings.
In the first mission, you "cut" a cable holding a tower and the tower falls in the direction of the cut cable.
You run away with a group and are chased by an IFV failing to run over or shoot anybody. Then you use an atv to destroy the IFV. The whole scene looks like it's from a low budget parody movie.
This game costs 70 euro and its animations and cloth physics are outmatched by games from like a decade ago.
