Do you really need another trailer? It's Rockstar and GTA and you know what to expect.
I miss the good old Rockstar when they had the courage to release games like Manhunt and Bully. Now they only care about GTA Online.

Too early for gameplay. They start showing that 2-3 months before release. It has been their way of marketing for decades at this point.

Lack of gameplay might indicate a pending delay we’re not aware of yet though?
Surely something will be shown before or not long after the Take Two earnings call tomorrow?

Usually they show bits and pieces of gameplay and start showing actual longer pieces of gameplay about 2-3 months before release. It was like that for RDR2, Max Payne 3, GTA5 (the initial PS3 console version, obviously). They are likely using the same strategy here, so in May, it is still too early. We'll see.

Also 4chan, the defacto site for reliable leaked news. And relayed by fandomfire, a site known to rely on clickbait-style headlines, and rumor speculation.
Read the article, and the linked X post, and such. No evidence given to confirm or even support the claim. Just a random post of "Trust us bro".
Could be right, BUT who knows? No one. So I take it as "Some dude said". Cool for him bro, where is his proof of, well anything, other than his keyboard typing saying so, to back it up?
I'm not defending release dates, Rockstar, or shitting on who wrote it. Im saying: It's on the internet with zero supporting evidence. So don't be upset if I don't believe it blindly GTA6NEWS.
I heard a rumor it is already being built to support Holodeck full immersion spatial VR when that tech is realized. Wanna talk about the hype of how amazing that will be when it happens?

I call BS, Marketing Plans havent kicked in as of yet and we are less than 6 month from release - im sure there will be another delay or else we would already see another trailer/material or get some more news atleast.
The Game will be a hit, no question - but still, T2 wants to have everyone and their grandparents on the preorder list, especially when you wanna raise the prices in general and give everyone time to grab a 1k ps5 pro console (in christmas times).
YOu wont be able to do that when you have like 3 months left to release.
I dont mind to be honest, the leaks couple years ago did the game no goods as it forced them to rush things which in the end is always bad - cut content and so on.
If the game needs time to 2030 for being complete, so be it.

Not summer yet, so around 1 week from marketing kicking into high gear + new trailer. 6 months, not 3 months, of marketing, releasing trailers etc. Plenty of time.
RDR2 took 5 years. This will then take 6 years, IF it releases this year. Makes sense. GTA 5 only took 3 years (full scale production).

yeah, doing like 1-2 years of hype in today's climate, that just doesnt work, not even for big releases i think. oversaturation bores people. i think we will see more shadow drop games and games with very short marketing. An element of surprise - this spawns tons of "content" all across the internet, which of course is even better than their own marketing because its ""unbiased"".

No shit Sherlock, by that time (6 month till release) we got way more than right now. Hints, leaks, advertisements (big painted mural) and nothing has happend yet. Therefore i am certain there is another delay coming - Cyberpunk has done it multiple times.
Surely the CEO woudnt risk his stock to loose a few bucks if he would admit another delay, i mean come on - its the usual bs we see on a daily basis.

The bulk of marketing material is always released 2-3 months before release. It was like that with RDR2, MP3 and GTA5. There is already a trailer out. Excitement is very high already.
It might get delayed to 2045, or it might show up just on time. Whatever you are reading into lack of marketing is not a sign of either.

Them not releasing a trailer, and not announcing a delay says two things: There is no trailer, and no info on if delayed. That's it.

Well, a bunch of studios that are far more neurotic and unconfident in their product has just conditioned everyone to expect a volley of marketing shit for a year. With most studios, that's to the detriment of their product, as more and more it is revealed how bad their product is. Rockstar has always been very confident in their marketing strategy. Even within the prime marketing timespan, they release just a few videos with narration of gameplay. I don't remember back in the RDR1 and GRA4 days, or even before, if that was how they operated then too, but with GTA5 on PS3 and later, it's just how they operate. Confident marketing is part of their strategy.

Yea they are not some company fighting for eyes and attention time. they don't need to spam teasers, and trailers, and news to keep upcoming release relevant.
Its GTA6. The lack of any of that gives them more hype than if they did. They know the general gaming audience is thirsty for any crumb they drop. So they make sure to keep them hungry, vs feeding them until satisfied.
I mean even in just our small group left, even a: There is a rumor, of a speculation, that a roommate, of a friend, that works at Rockstar said X.
Generates more buzz and more drooling for more, than any trailer could.
