It was fine, no moralistic crap, just Frank murdering the shit out of everyone with some crappy aggro soundtrack playing in the background.
Though I still prefer the sarcastic and more creatively sadistic Punisher from the 2005 video game. The new one is pretty schizo. 7.5/10
With the Punisher story, Marvel is supposed to go with realism for once. No magic, no superhuman abilities.
So to avoid sniping down the protagonist, as it should have happened IRL under the circumstances presented in this special, the director went with completely idiotic, irrational and suicidal antagonists, as thou they had been shipped directly from DC's Gotham.
And all Castle's inner monologues thru visions of his former friends and family looked forced and pathetic.
