Seems like there's still no real sense of progression, you can almost immediately hop in a supercar and ai opponents are always scaled to your car's performance... MEH
@Tschoob
You say that like its a bad thing
I like my racing games like that. Granted most I play is racing sims (varying on sim part on how good they are at it). But like Project Cars, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista etc.
But I like it way more when me and friend can jump in and go "Ok what cars you guys wanna race" and go race.
By all means let it have story mode. Just don't let it be mandatory. at least in the way of: You get no more cars until you race crap cars, then watch cutscenes, then slightly less crap cars, repeat.

i like this about Forza, this game is not for you
i played like 5 hours and i really enjoy it, sound are way better than FH5, GFX is on par with FM7, the house/estate editor is fun and overwhelming, Tockio city is big but harsh with FPS )i get ~70fps in the city and 90fps on the country side - all maxed out 2K

Opposite to what GT is doing with the prices, i think that's good thing.
How did you not have DirectX installed? I would have never got that just guessing over the internet. Been YEARS, like 10+, since I seen someone with that problem.
Not saying that condescendingly, genuinely curious how you made it this long without DX.

I didn't think we needed to install that since Win10/11 since its already included for DX11/12? Right? lol
I thought DirectX Runtime was only for older games since it only included older version of DirectX?
That's not how it works. Games are compiled and linked against specific versions of DirectX, C++ runtimes, etc. That's why you install a different version of those with every game. Steam does it automatically by running a script on the first launch of a game. With yarr either the custom installer does it, or you have to manually.
I see, thanks for explaining. This was with legit version I got on steam.

Usually it runs a "post install script" or whatever it calls it that installs all this crap. Perhaps MS didn't set that up correctly or a buy in the setup. Anyway, next time a game is not starting, look in Event Viewer for crashes. If it complains about some symbol missing, it's that.
