After that magnificent run he's throwing it away to become another Chris Roberts? Really? Guess it's true what they say about people losing the plot when they gain fame and fortune.
Let the man enjoy his earned money. He wants to try something new, why the fuck not? It doesn't succeed, he can make more games; at least for now, gaming is not going anywhere.
I 'member initially it was supposed to be 3 games. But with the success of the Kickstarter and the 1st one the 2nd and 3rd chapters got combined into the sequel, right?
Pretty much. Henry's story is finished by the end of KCD 2. He's had his revenge on everyone and gone through his character arc.
They could do a sequel with Henry in the hussite wars, but it would be a totally distinct story unrelated to Henry's desire for vengeance which was the driving force of the two games.

I tend to agree. No one would pass an opportunity to make a Hollywood movie of their creation, if given the chance. Will it suck? Likely, but it's the coke and the parties that make it worthwhile
The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.
And you may pour us away like soup. Like we're pretty broken flowers.
We'll take back what is ours. One day at a time.

Makes sense. I'm 130h into KCD2 and it's still not over Doing every quest I can find.
I'd rather have another decent game among all the trash we get tbh. get back to game development man
Yeah, same here!

Did every quest, including the repeating blacksmith Dlc.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 dev says he was "fired" and replaced with AI: "I feel incredibly betrayed by the management of the company I've come to care about"
Sucks, but what is the argument other than he needs the money and they need to keep him forever because he got hired?
He is just in the wrong business, that will happen when we go from one tech to another. It's not personal. It would be very strange to have people doing things we did manually 30 years ago, and the only reason to keep them is not because of needing a less efficient and far more costly skill but because this person needs to get paid. No one can run a business like that unless its charity or perhaps something government funded where the job can be whatever.
meh, while im sure it would be decent it's also kind of a shame that they went from non-fantasy to fantasy setting. It looks like there is a massive gap in the market for non-fantasy RPG setting that led to KCD's success. We already have a bazillion elfs & orcs & wizards RPG's which makes it quite generic by now imo.
while i would agree its a success, i am not so sure its because its non fantasy... Crimson Desert sold as much in 1 month as KCD2 in one year, and KCD is an established franchise with a fanbase while CD isnt.
One difference I already see between CD and KCD2 is that excitement around CD has died pretty much completely, what, a month after? It's not an interesting game. Whereas KCD, across both titles, still has people interested. That's not to diminish from the CD accomplishment, but I attribute that to a successful marketing campaign, rather than a word of mouth success, like the original KCD. How many times did we roll our eyes at retarded utubs claiming it's "too good to be true "? Guess what, it was too good; it's a shitty MMO turned "S"P, with an interesting world that is marred by technical issues. Even without the technical issues, an interesting world can hold interest for so long before people get bored and forget about it.
tons of new YT content with CD, couldnt care less about reddit or twatter, they do not matter i think.
awards? lol. who tf cares about awards. there are so many shit games getting awards. do you think any Gothic won an award, i think not, maybe apart from some german one.
New tiny hot fix release: it'll get 4000-5000 likes on steam, ubi soft games, maybe they can get 500-800 if lucky when the announce something like black flag resynced etc. just to compare with something
