Fucking AMAZING game this. The voice-overs, writing, music, and just overall feel is off the charts. Absolutely oozing with that neo-noire vibe (think 1930's Dick Tracy, except an alternate future where everyone's living and driving on antigravity).
You've got skill checks with dice-rolls for the dialogue, combined with combat that takes place on roads in cars (probably the weakest facet on the game, and relies heavily on gaming the ever changing "road zones" rather than actually shooting - at least on Challenging difficulty which leaves little room for error.)
Sure, it's not on the scale of Baldur's Gate, but at $20 it's not meant to be. To be honest, what they've put together here for that price is incredible.
Give it a shot if you like dialogue heavy games like Disco Elysium (it's like that, except actually good in terms of its writing. ) Both a release as well as a Steam demo are available.
I just tried the demo yesterday and really liked it aswell.
Too bad it didn't have any exposure.
It has a low bduget but they made the best of what they had imo.
