This 2-man band came from nowhere suddenly EXPLODED and became a sensation just a few weeks ago. What's even more interesting is their music. The guitar+bass necks are micro-tonal; there's an extra fret between the normal semi-tones, increasing the normal 12-note octave scale to 24.

They're weird, their music is weird... and I love it. I don't understand how they suddenly became so ridiculously popular seeing how they make music that is as far from popular music you can get. Perhaps many people are just sick of the formulaic pop nonsense that has been beaten to death for the last 30 years.

It's just hypnotic stuff that is somehow really cool. It took a couple of listens to get over the "gaah" feeling from the microtonal notes. Now it feels natural.. kind of.

isnt it just Primus all over again though, anyone even remember them?

yeah, i listened when this started appearing, i'm split. i like aphex twin's microtonal stuff and i am into weird music but i am really just hearing primus, "funny music", i can appreciate it's done but not for me i think, i'd love if it was new intro music for south park heh
