What a great song, these guys have evolved a lot! And, of course, Aaron's hallmark vocals also add a lot to the composition:

"Esoterik" finds Jason Köhnen's BONG-RA continuing the alchemical evolution that has defined his most adventurous work. A spiritual successor to 2025's "Black Noise", the record delves deeper into the shadows and luminescence of the occult, expanding the ritualistic atmospheres explored on "Antediluvian" (2018) and "Meditations" (2022) while forging a harsher, more industrial sonic architecture.

Composed of five immersive, long-form pieces, "Esoterik" is a study in tension: where the slow-burn melancholy of doomjazz collides with machine-driven industrial textures, where ancient mysticism meets modern existential dread, where darkness and illumination spiral together in a single hypnotic ascent. Each track functions as a ceremonial chamber, guiding the listener through states of introspection, invocation and transcendence.

BONG-RA's signature low-frequency weight, cinematic horn arrangements and percussive austerity remain at the core, but on "Esoterik" they are recontextualised, distorted, mechanized and reforged into a denser, more monolithic sound. The result is an album that feels both primal and post-apocalyptic, ritualistic yet modern, deeply symbolic yet starkly physical.

"Esoterik" is one of BONG-RA's most focused and atmospheric works to date: an occult-industrial descent that charts the liminal space between shadow and radiance, matter and spirit, destruction and revelation.
