If there is one thing i will complain about its that everything is so damn bright. Every time i see the game its a blindingly bright scene. Characters seem like they're placed after everything else as there looks like some details miss and they're too spotless
i love how bright it looks, i couldnt stand fall of avalon with it''s "edgy" darkness. no balance to it at all.
Will be such a nice contrast/balance to the super dark nights here, which is rare to have for games.
Characters looks like the weak point for the game, i bet story and lore might be kind of garbage too. It's not going to be TES or Gothic, that i am pretty sure of.
Again, its too bad we almost never have competent writers for games, how expensive can it be to hire like just a half-known fantasy book author? they probably spend more on (imo) useless voice acting, and that does almost nothing.
@Nodrim Hopefully it’s a bug in the displacement mapping shader that they can fix. We’ve had displacement mapping in engines for years, and I’ve never seen such an artifact.

He's trying to excuse it in the video by saying he barely even notices the issue after some time. I think that visual glitch would drive me crazy, for me it's a huge immersion breaker.

It might simply be fixed on PC with higher polygons on environments or better meshes. For PCs more geometry is typically is not an issue even for lower end PCs, but consoles mostly have the lowest quality settings. But then again we will only know once the PC reviews come out. Also the crappy PSSR isn't doing it any favors, DLSS might also solve some of the other issues.
While he went on about how great the tree detail is, they skipped over quite some pop-up on bushes or grass in some scenes. Not that it's bad or unsual for a game like this, but in other titles they typically point it out.

Apparently all reviewers got the PC version and Digital Foundry got to review the game on PS5 Pro. Are they hiding other versions? Obviously base PS5 won’t be as good but does that mean there are issues?
May the NFOrce be with you always.

I think expecting base PS5 to have stable 30 fps with decent graphics wouldn't be too surprising. I think with the age of the hardware there is not much more to expect from a title with this scale. At least on PS5 Pro the game seems to be mostly CPU limited, so it might run well on lower end consoles as well.

The Game has "Always Online" in a Singleplayer game ??? Also Denuvo, na now i definetly pass, i was under the impression to have a nice decent SP Game without that bullshit so i can code a little here and there but na, this aint worth the hassle.
