So 
I bought a kitchen knife set two months ago, and this is the third time 🤦♂️ but this time it was really bad. "Somehow" the blade went through one side reached the inside of the nail. While fucking cutting lettuce 
Should have probably gone to ER for stitches but got scared of more pain. Initially in hurry to stop bleeding and pain, I wrapped it like crazy, probably cutting off blood supply to the finger too much. It went numb, so I cut the wrapping and it started throbbing blood for a few seconds. At that time, I wrapped it properly, applying pressure only to the wound. Bleeding has stopped, which is good. Today while replacing the bandage, I had a better look. Really outdid myself this time.
My grandmother used to have a metal thing for her thumb, when sewing by hand, to protect from accidental needle stabs. I need something similar for cutting

Well, my previous knives weren’t that dull, and I kept them sharp-ish, but I don’t remember when the last time I cut myself on them was. I’m sure it happened, but long time ago. Whereas these motherfucker 🤦♂️
But it is very nice to have sharp knives. They just slice through food. And fingers.

If awkward, use dull knives
or sharp knives + chain mail glove. Real thing, exactly for such occasions

Interesting. Those look less impressive, but they are so cheap, I might as well get a pair and try them out.
