Anyone play this incomprehensible ai game still? I'm still at the first area, and my brother ain't exactly selling it with the story not getting any less nonsensical

I play it almost daily since release. The main story is dumb and makes no sense. In the beginning you get attacked by some unknown guy, then you escort the little Ruby shit, then you try to find your missing aunt. No idea what happened with the unknown guy, even tho you were so eager to find it him in the beginning. I too spend a lot of time in the first area, to explore and try to 100% it. But also had issues beating the boss that unlocks the 2nd area (because I completely forgot you can parry and don't even remember it being in the tutorial...)
I mainly like the side quests, there's a lot of interesting, fun or sad stories in them.
There's also tons of different activities but they feel too shallow. Also I don't understand the house building at all.
Don't really like the combat. It's fine "souls-like" but since all weapons are melee or small-ranged they feel too similar. Since they already making weird areas such as this new Hexi dimension, they may as well add magic staff or bazookas.
Of course the most hated thing for 99% of the people in this game is the atrocious and cancerous UI with dozens of menus, sub-menus and 10 different shops for the same things. After 315 hours I still don't know where to find some things.
But overall I like the game. For years hasn't been a game to make me want to read dialogues and quests, but here I read almost everything because otherwise can miss secret areas.
Oh, and about the AI - mostly ignoring that. In the beginning I thought you can get random quests from AI NPC's but then found out all they do is talk and if you manage to become friends with them, they give you some small presents. Don't think there's other AI usage other than the Wingman which is kind of an "in-game ChatGPT".
I thought this would be up my alley as I watch a lot of Chinese fantasy and historical dramas but bounced back after couple of hours. As said above, main quest starts really strange and didn't grasp me at all, and I was in constant WTF is going on. Once you finally have a control over your character (in the hut) I though that maybe I've skipped a cut scene or some explanation. Pushed it further for a while, but after that, I just wasn't feeling it.
But that wasn't the biggest problem, the controls were just way off for me. I've tried KB+M and gamepad and tinkered on sensitivity setting and it always felt strange (floaty with lag but at the same time to sensitive on some movements). It just didn't click with me.
