Some of these look awesome. but all SP Sad
The older and older I get, the less I like games I can't play with my friends.
The only time I get a SP game is when I put up with it not having MP because it is such a niche/specific genre there is nothing in its genre that is MP to get instead. But I really want to play a game like that. (Skylines for example).

SNF Feb. 2026 starts in just a few minutes. Let us gather here the demos worth checking out, as well as the ones to avoid.

I'll start by saying that avoid this one like the plague:

I thought this would be a Hellgate: London ripoff, but it's just some super basic, extremely linear arena shooter/roguelite with terrible visuals that make your eyes bleed. Uninstalled after 15 monutes.

A game advertised as made by Diablo devs. It's a Diablo clone with desctrutable terrain and swimming. But it's very hit and miss, combat feels kinda of ok but the skills in the demo are really shit and the damage is all over a place fighting same enemies sometimes is a slog and some times a breeze. Props for exposing characters boob cleavage. Also it's prealpha kickstarter bait.

Frenetic arena shooter in russian's gulag simulator. Looks shit, plays like shit.

If Contra and Sonic made a child that watched too much Mullet Madjack as a kid. Arena weird gimmick shooter with finding gun modes like in Contra and beating a score. Not my cup of coffee.

I think the demo made a disservice for this game. Very meh gameplay mostly running from objective to objective where you defend from waves of small amount of enemies.

If Disco Elysium choose your skill to progress dialogue made a child with all the postapo caravan turn based games. It takes place in alt 30s New York where antigravity is a thing. You play as a hard boiled female smuggler that has most utmost cringe inner dialogue ever written. The skill based dialogue part seems like a bait without real consequences. Looks pretty nice.

Most of the demos are meh.

I tried Sudden Strike 5 yesterday, but it has serious performance issues – for everyone, not just me. But hey, at least it got me in the vibe, and I have re-installed SS 4.

Ashes II I've tried, and it felt boring. Replaced was OK, but I'm not a fan of the genre.
Don't wanna spoil Cthulhu or Zero Parades, btu I'm interested in both, especially the latter.
