I finally upgraded to 5080 and new 240hz monitor and decided to try it.

You kick ass, music slaps, ggraphics slaps, slayer slaps. it's so good.
I am so surprised how it looks. Granted, I have a 5080 and playing maxed out, full path tracing.. but I get 200fps with fg x4 and dlss performance and it still looks pristine. I cannot feel much if any additional input lag. The game is doing something very well.

Either this game gets fucking shit later (don't tell me) or people forgot what fun is about. because this game is manly as fuck and very fun so far... and DF is kinda right. This looks incredible

Yeah, this game is not liked that much, because it's not a Doom game. It's just a console action game. Later on there is stuff that is just not Doom any way you cut it. Also, on PC, since it forced RT, people were displeased with that, especially after how well optimized the first one was, and to some extent, the second as well. They have improved it since launch, but the bitter taste in people's mouths has remained.

I tried it a bit while making my RTX 2060 related YouTube video. It was OK but definitely nothing special. Either I'm too old or there is simply so many others games to play that this doesn't stand out by any means. I'm glad that you like it though. I might give it another try sometimes in the distant future.

It's super fast and I jump around and shield bash demons all around. Would be much slower on controller

Not a crack. It’s creating a virtual environment to fool Dedurpo, but requires the user to bend over and disable many security features. Not worth it, certainly not for The Derp Ages.
Every Shituvo title and it's grandmother now getting Hypervisored, its seems to be another Denuvo design flaw that scene developers taking advantage off, Hopefully now that there is more common way to run the game, it will lead for proper cracks.
So, if you want the rest of your system to be secure, you would actually need a dedicated separate PC to run this? No way to sandbox it or boot a different OS only for the crackled versions?

you could KVM with GPU passthrough and basically run the hv cracl in an isolated environment

Common payloads found in cracks: ransomware, RATs (Remote Access Trojans), credential stealers (targeting browser sessions, saved passwords, cookies), crypto miners, and persistent backdoors
Credential stealers specifically target browser-stored logins and active session cookies – meaning attackers can hijack accounts without needing your password at all
Keyloggers can be installed silently and survive reboots via registry persistence or scheduled tasks
Antivirus won't save you – cracks are routinely packed, obfuscated, or crypted to evade signature-based detection
Risk level: extremely high
With a VM – why it's better but not safe
A VM creates an isolated execution environment through hardware-assisted virtualization (Intel VT-x / AMD-V), but that isolation has limits
VM escape: real, documented attack class where malware exploits vulnerabilities in the hypervisor layer (VMkernel, VirtualBox core, Hyper-V partition management) to execute code on the host. CVEs for this exist in VMware, VirtualBox and Hyper-V – it's not theoretical
Shared folders: if enabled, malware inside the VM has direct filesystem access to the host – game over
Clipboard sharing: can be abused to exfiltrate data or manipulate what you paste on the host
Bridged/NAT networking: gives the VM (and any malware in it) full outbound internet access – C2 connections, data exfiltration, lateral movement on your LAN all become possible
Snapshot misconception: if malware already escaped to the host before you roll back, the snapshot does nothing
Risk level: low to moderate – but only if you actually lock the VM down properly
Proper isolation if you insist
Set network adapter to Host-only or completely disabled
Disable shared folders, drag-and-drop, and clipboard integration entirely
Take a snapshot before execution
Treat the VM as fully disposable – nuke it afterward, don't reuse it
Ideally run it on dedicated hardware air-gapped from your main network
