I'm keeping my hurrdurr due to that there is no other quick-in-quick out shooters for dads these days. MW III was the latest game I wanted to play on constant on semi-constant basis. Everything else feels just 'meh'. Delta Force was 'ok' for a bit.

After playing the open beta and following the developer updates afterwards I know he game is going to be great but yeah, that was a cringey and unnecesary trailer, obviously looking to cater to the (younger) COD crowd
Remove the cringey streamer non-sense and it's just a mishmash of the previously released trailers + the Limp Bizkit song in the background.
I like the dig with the "True return to form" comment in this latest trailer. Obviously calling out reviewers of the terminally reviewed 7 out of 10 games we've seen over the last few years.
Men, as an almost 50 year old at this point I'm not ashamed to say that I have it pre-ordered, pre-loaded and ready to go on Friday.
It's not often that I'm looking forward to a game as much as this one. Fingers crossed.
a sheep in wolfs clothing, it looks very good from afar but from up close it plays like 2042, small maps, bad ttk, we will see how much they fixed the shooting but all weapons unlocked is another red flag
RTX doesn't always mean ray tracing.
NVIDIA RTX is a blanket term for anything that uses tensor cores be it: Raytracing, DLSS, Neural Shaders, Reflex, super sampling, super resolution, and such.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/technologies/rtx/
Unless its using specifically RT Cores of RTX, it could be any of the above. They just picked "RT"X as the name for marketing reasons on raytracing hype.

RTX is the colloquial term for ray tracing/path tracing. It has never been associated with DLSS. I think they're saying that the SP is ray traced. I think it's clear. I might be wrong, we'll find out in a day.
Then people have it wrong. Colloquial term, and correct term dont need to be the same.
What a thing is, and what the average person calls it or think it is is different all the time. Marketing intends that (Apple's Retina display for example. PPI/LPI all over the place, it's not a fixed standard, its a marketing term)
NVidia's own site says what RTX is, what each pack of cores under the keystone RTX does, and such.
I'm not saying it's not confusing, misleading, or even misused. Im saying that all those are by design to be confusing, misleading, and misusable. DLSS is a RTX feature (AI frames, at its core is a Tensor Core function, and [X] gen tensor cores are what makes a RTX card, an RTX card).
If someone equates RTX with only raytracing (instead of correctly as simply most famous for raytracing). The marketing worked :
- I bought this thinking it had raytracing.
- We never said it had raytracing, we said it used RTX. And we picked the term RTX as people will see RT and think Ray Tracing, and we are best at that compared to AMD. So they see RTX and reminded AMD sucks. https://www.windowscentral.com/gaming/battlefield-6-wont-support-ray-tracing-heres-why-ea-is-prioritizing-performance-for-all-players

Well, you clearly know more than me I'm not going to argue this with you.
But if you're right, Nvidia's marketing is at an all time low. Incredibly deceptive.
I agree. it's been low since RTX branding on cards came out IMO
RTX 2050 for example (or any series sub [X]060). Good luck getting any useable RTX out of that. It simply HAS it which means they can slap RTX on the side. Doesn't mean it's useful on that card, just means they can say it technically has the cores so not false marketing, just misleading marketing.
