Tried it with the expansion.. uninstalled after 20 minutes it looks uglier than a modded Gothic 2 apart from the characters. Most of all they have no idea about color scheme, it looks like puke.
Can't fall down, can't jump, can't swim.. They're absolutely clueless about what makes open world games interesting to explore and play. You'll have 1000x times more fun with any of the latest Asscreed or Gothic1-3 which actually has proper story (especially the first two) AND you can fall to your death, climb, swim and it's a world that is actually fun and interesting to explore.
you couldn't have been more wrong about this one, yes the game is janky, and yes it did have a rather clashing palette at times, but this actually is a great, interesting game world which is fun to explore.
if i had to throw negatives at this game, sometimes it could be a bit sparse traversing old areas, the combat could really have used better stagger mechanics, translation and voice acting sucked a bit.. but that is about it. i played in coop and had a fucking blast with this game like it was a newly released uncompromised morrowind. i hope these guys make another game.
not to mention its not an AAA why compare it to asscreed..
I liked the game alot. it has a feel of adventure, danger and progress isnt easily gained. the enviorment feels hostile. going the mage route isnt easily achieved and feels like an accomplishment etc.
Graphics look like shit though, tech is +/- 10 years behind. So when this releases in 2-3 years it's...
Well, hope the gameplay is improved and it's less yanky, then it's a fine game, but nothing to get excited about for the moment.

I already mentioned the immense negatives: "Can't fall down, can't jump, can't swim". Insert just ONE of these into a open world game and it's very, very unlikely i will consider playing it, put in all 3 of them, lol, no, i will not bother. it just signals so much how little they understand about doing an open world game.
I bet the first game could've become a cult classic. But these things takes away so much from the experience that they're losing the bigger audience. It wouldn't surprise me if they've learned nothing from doing the first game either, they're just gonna repeat it.
The one time i can forgive open world RPG's for not including it is in 2D games like Baldur's Gate or perhaps 3D open world RPG's where you control a whole party.
did they add jumping and is it now possible to fall down from heights?
...if someone watched it.
Just skipped through it. After 4:02 there's a place you fall down and get treasure chest. And in another place you jump on a mushroom. But have a feeling these cases are just scripted, because in couple fights where the guy can jump down a small slope to reach the enemy faster, he goes all around instead.
actually maybe falling was in the first game as well unless it meant fall to your death or falling into water, because those things they didn't add animations to, or physics for.
If they didn't add jumping i think they're gonna turn off a larger player base than they understand, it would 100% be worth the effort to have that.
If the fans of the first game weren't acting all fanboy'ish i'm sure they would've gotten to work and added jumping so that the game can have proper exploration, but instead they went the "it's fine!" route derps.
I have tried posting about it a few times over the years, you just get jumped(!) at instead of anyone agreeing that a game about "immersion and adventure" (their own claim) should have the character you play able to jump over a 5" rock or twig.
