Poor perfomance, poorly implemented and tedious open world (the fuck why??? Borderlands is about shooting stuff, not traversing a boring world), one review even states that gunplay (and the guns in general) are secondary to skills. The game not being balanced for single player in some cases. No real endgame. A lot of this seems worse then Borderlands 3.

People that know what Borderlands is about said it's the exact opposite. Stop parroting things you've apparently heard about from some clickbait videos and speedrunners who rushed through the game (no real endgame -Joltz)
It really angers you that some people want to play this, right? You really hate others enjoying something? You say it sucks yet keep on coming back, obsession much? Thought I'd give you some attention now after you've tried to get a reaction 2 times now
There's an optimizer out, restarted the game for the patch to see how this and the mod are faring.
But with the 4090 I can run it decently on 4k (High) so far, but I've only left the tutorial area now.
Only had to turn down the big killers, ultra shadows, ultra fog, ultra volumetrics, I miss example images for graphic settings a LOT to see what actually changes, thankfully you can at least hide the background from the menu to see what is happening.
But it's FAR from the performance debacle most people were calling, but of course Steam reviews are very negative now because nobody wants to tinker with settings, install the nvidia driver or else.
Apparently there's a bug where you get the deluxe and super deluxe DLC even with the base standard game, I just got it too

I'm sorry but you have to tune down a game that looks quite similar to Borderlands 3 with a 4090.
What's your issue now? I didn't reply to you. Those are settings I turn down in all games because it's barely to not even noticable.
The game looks heads above BL3 if you can't spot that I'm sorry but you need new eyes, if you keep insisting to reply to everything I write like that, consider our convo done, I'd rather post about the game than continue to bicker with someone that only wants to get a reaction out.
When performance is fixed it's a very good BL game, so if you are hurt that I enjoy it jog on

"I have a 5090 idk what everyone is talking about" you have to imagine what that sounds like to the average pc gamer to get some perspective. It's like a YT influencer that's surprised not everyone has the top end because he gets his hardware for free.

@FireMaster Lol bug off! This is exactly why I posted my experience because that video and prior reports of sub 60 fps for other 4090s at 2k were complete bullshit and I'm running it now without frame gen (no thx to input lag). Of course I can't speak for sub 3000 cards but it's easy to tell they're not running this at High on 2k res anytime soon but the rest was straight horse crap made up by some early access doomsayers.
No patch, probably no new driver, I have a worse card and have a better performance than them, it's easy to spit out stuff but of course every video is automatically correct, no user error at all but it's fine as long as it fits the agenda. 'Gaming' channel my ass.
People treat their system like shit and have never once entered Nvidia Settings and complain when games that have the usual UE5 performance issues run insanely bad, but it's not like you can't get yourself out of that misery. How dare I post a counter argument to the overwhelming doom and gloom posting

Sounds like borderlands to me. There’s always been a ton of driving around a big world with nothing to do, just drive to the objective area and kill the pack that spawns in and rinse and repeat
God help you if your vehicle explodes in the middle of nowhere.
