I didn't watch it, but video count doesn't indicate anything about the correctness or quality of a video.
Could be good video, or total trash. Ricegum and Jake Paul have TONS of videos..and they are all trash.
You are exactly equating quantity to quality.

You lost me. what does videos have to do with progress on the game?
He could put out one video and say "Working on this day one" and never make a second video until it's done and be done in 4 months, or 10 years, regardless of his video updates.
Or am I missing what you are saying?
Do you mean updates to let people know what's going on, or needs video updates more often to make progress on the conversion?

lol? he posts the first video about the mod, but for some reason he should've posted videos already? one video has to be the first. He's already said he's going to do a longer video.
Its good he waited until he had something to show. Videos takes a lot of effort to do, maybe he has better things to do, like working on the mod?

You're probably missing what I am saying.
For such project you need to offer frequent updates on your work - especially if you have a Patreon / sponsorship active.
So once every week instead of once every 3/4 months would be more adequate.
And we're talking about what he should do in the future, not what he's done so far - if he decides to work on this.
P.S.
And personally - my gut on this? - I don't see him seriously enough involved to do it. When he will realize the AMOUNT of work required to do this... hehe...
"Six months" my ass... MAYBE, if you work 16 hours a day and KNOW what you are doing.

yes? he seems like someone who's gonna release videos, even working on a longer one. Not sure every week would be exactly necessary, i rather see the mod going forward than videos with very little news every week, maybe once a month would be cool, to see bigger progress and not just bug fixes here and there.
Yes, that's what i said too, 6 months is not doable. Looking for a team like he's doing is of course the right thing. "Not seriously involved"? That's kinda crass. he ported Morrowind into an entirely new engine, that is pretty amazing and not something we often see.
Is it going to end like some tech demo / proof of concept? Very likely, but credit where credit is due.

I'm still missing it then? I didn't see a patreon or asking for donations (but I didn't look hard).
It feels like you are talking about what he should do for his mod to be popular when done, and not just what he needs to do to get it done. Two different things.
It could be a passion project, and in 3 year he puts out a video of "Its done, anyone that wants it get it", or no announcement it's finished at all and just uploaded to a mod site, and 4 people download it and he's fine with that. Who knows.
I'm not being difficult on purpose, I promise. I honestly think I am misreading what you mean. as I get from it: He needs to upload more videos moving forward to be able to finish making it.
