The issue with all subscriptions is, that the content doesn't need to be good. It only need to be good enough. Good enough for you to not cancel your membership. Overachievement of a single product is usually not really rewarded in subscriber adds.

I doubt microsoft sits there "yikes, now it seems our service is too god. Now we have to bring in 3 mid games and 2 shit. And then bring in good ones after that"
Not all developers are interested in having their game on gamepass.

but most are, do u put ur game on steam and wait for sales or put on gp and get some chunk of money upfront?
microsoft just needs a big aaa game on there from time to time to stop people from unsubscribing
but like with every service it will not be long before people who moved there from yarring will come back to it when shit hits the fan, and with microsoft being microsoft it will happen faster than wat netflix and the other streaming platforms did

Only when you have doubt in your own product you use gamepass. If it sells like shit you'll likely gain big from gamepass, but if it's a great game and a gazillion new gamepass subs due to your game then you'll lose a ton and a half of profit.

So of all the games on gamepass, from 100's of developers. They all did it for that reason. Interesting. is everything in your life absolutes, or just replies here?
