they didn't bother to manually lipsync the few seconds of that animation?
First game was janky sure, but it had atmosphere and really good writing/role playing. If this fails to offer at least that then it's dead on arrival.
you'll have to pay to access two of the six clans in the game. Clans here act like your character class, determining what kind of gameplay role your character will adopt, as well as giving you a sense of storied belonging in the world, so they're no trivial thing. And they're not cheap.
In order to access the Lasombra and Toreador clans, you'll need to buy the Shadows and Silk add-on pack, which costs £18.69/€21.99/$21.99. And as far as I can tell, you won't be able to access these locked clans otherwise. If you don't pay, you'll only be able to access the default four: Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim and Ventrue.
Well that sucks, no pun intended, but there’ll probably be multiple versions of the game so maybe Deluxe will include the expansion and/or season pass.
Just ordinary business at the Paradox headquarters
I was watching the recent gameplay footage surfaced on the tube - the game looks like some sort of Xmas-themed kickboxing-addicted janky Dishonored with an Eastern European phyretagonist coming straight from World of Darkness' YA visual novels alongside a quirky male voice/playable companion sitting inside xirs head à la Dexter's dad who has the supernatural ability of never staying silent. It'll be up to the isodemo to establish whether the game will have redeeming traits despite the fact that it's fundamentally an imposter, or the thing will be a complete mistake. My expectations are below zero at this point, but there is some (masochistic) curiosity.

As far as I'm concerned, there is only ONE version of the game:

So yeah, the game is crap, at least judging by the demo reviews.I know it's shocking, but the walking simulator guys did not make a good rpg. Or even an RPG at all. It's an action game with combat skills. Masquerade violations get reset when you reach a checkpoint, there's no Frenzy when you're low on blood, no negotiation options- just hack and slash everything when the basic stealth fails.
I thought it would be mediocre, but this might be an outright disaster.

As expected.
Oh well, maybe that vampire action RPG from ex-CD Projekt devs will scratch the itch.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
I mean, at this point it doesn't even matter. Pretty much anyone making it I would never give it the benefit of the doubt in today's industry. So eh... It's sad they're exploiting the name. They could have just made something else in the universe, but fuck it. It's not going to spoil the original for me, nor is it going to make me play this.
THEY KNOW THE LEGACY of this game, so the questions are:
1. How can they engage in a project that is clearly a downgrade in function, form and fucks-given (FFF) compared to the almost legendary status of the original?!

2. Their GREED and IGNorance are THAT high?
I believe that it is not even GREED. That's IGNorance all the way.
Really.
